It's not easy knowing all the top celebs and sportspeople.

Not that freeloader Jesus again, you can't get him out of the house and he loves a bit of free wine and grub.

Paul Smith was also a sad loss to the forum.
I was only messing about

I don't want to drive anyone away; your feeling this time was wrong Coco, I can't get my arse to sing to my tune never mind anyone else.
Paul Smith was a good poster BUT he was brittle and it was Paul Smiths point of view or the highway - it was good to read a high level boxers take on things but there was no questioning allowed. I can remember that some went out of their way to rile the man but if Smith worked in a normal job then he'd have learned to get through without having a strop 10 years ago.
Some of the judging and reffing is crazy; I can imagin IJL is still a handy bloke who can argue and stand his ground on the phone and in person; he has made some errors though and ought to explain them; in a polite manner.

My take on these threads was about defending Eric as a poster rather how judges and referees butter their bread.
Unfortunately I am too aware of the more murky side of the game and was not trying to justify that.
I have no problem with questioning people within the game on this forum but most of these guys deserve to be respectively questioned rather than deliberately riled.
However I also appreciate that if you put yourself in the public position of being a boxer, promoter etc you should realise that you will get flack as well as glory.

Jesus was supplying the free wine and grub. I got a bit fed up of fish and bread by the time Berto v Guerro started though.

I can see your point and it's nice to be nice; you got to see that sometimes an 'insider' can be a 'big time Charlie' and if questioned can be dismissive, aggressive and abusive; and that is to genuine questions or after being asked to elaborate - not trolling. I've seen some very good boxers post on here and the vast majority are 'good company'; some of them are arseholes - same with the posters generally really.

I don't want to drive anyone out, I'm just having a joke, which is the spirit of the thread I think.
Wtf is menacing about Mikey Vann and Paul Thomas anyway? If I had a problem with them I'd be happy to speak to them. Thankfully I don't.
People within the game are bound to fight their corner, which is often difficult considering how the game is run.
Nevertheless threads mocking them is hardly going to encourage them to return, and their input is often valuable making this forum a much better place with the insiders contributions.
Also Eric is def one of the good guys. He is often accused of name dropping but there is no bullshit with him, just look at some of the pictures he has posted during a lifetime in the game.
I just noticed some folk on the other thread up in arms about Eric's post. I've no idea who he is. I just found it and then Palookas thread, amusing. I get what your saying though.
