Life after boxing is fukin depressing

Like you Dan I had a lot of fights, fought all the good boys around my weight, travelled all around the country, as well as abroad, gone the distance against most most, loved it!
I always worked as well, boxing gave me the status to do okay in business, I'm in a solid financial position. I have a hell of a lot to thank boxing for.
Since I have finished I have lived a good life, travelled the world, partied a lot, met a lot of women etc but nothing cuts it, while life is a lot easier, boxing on the road and working is damn hard, but now life is boring, I'm prob yearning for another thrill but its not there.
I had a couple of fights back in recent years, maybe to reclaim my youth, need to fight again, maybe just a little win.
I look back back and that Ali quote 'when we were kings' resonates. I could become Prime Minister and still consider myself a nobody.
I almost hate myself for relying on being 'used to be a boxer'. I still have boxing pics on my Facebook page, clinging on to yesteryear.

Dan had a lot more fights than me though, big respect pal.

But while life is a lot easier without it, it is damn boring.

I've been retired twice ... It's hard but you just need to set goals. Or try to learn a new sport.
