Apparently they trying to get him a replacement. Should got Rees one last week.
who else could they get to fight him at welter at such short notice?

There must be a few around Europe, over here i know LWW but Paul McCloskey.
Ashley Theophane he's always going on about how he needs someone rated high to perform good :-? Lomax is fit and fighting the same day..

Hard work and taking your chances, it wasn't a knock. As I said, I have no problem with you, I just find your anti-Hearn posts hypocrital, that's all.[/quote]

I have no problem with you either m8, if you look at my post the only time I mention "Hearn" is in the same post has "Adam Smith", the post your on about mention Matchroom & Matchmakers, not any one person in particular. Im just wondering how are they hypocritical ? I'm not accusing any party of something and condoning another party doing the same thing. Also how do you know I'm involved in the sport ? I could just be a fan

its unfortunate. neither matchroom nor sky can be held responsible for Murray's lack of fitness nor Purdy picking up a virus. having suffered viral pneumonia for past few weeks i know this stuff comes out of nowhere and knocks u for six.
how that makes hearn and smith bad guys is beyond me...i'm sure this is there biggest headache trying to keep the show together.
barker v hope should still be a good match and there are a few other smaller bouts. ok so its not a blockbuster but then look at what you are getting served up the week after, another farce world title defence with a late replacement tomato can.
at least there is some boxing and i for one will be very happy to go and see it.

Going to stick my neck out on the line and say that I think Larry Ekundayo will be the replacement for this fight. He already beat Mc Ewen, who is known in the states.

Groves vs Johnson is a better fight than any on this card.

Jamie cox vs Gary O'Sullivan should be decent .

I will tell you why any British walter who is in shape should take the fight, because if there is any walter in Britain capable of beating Carson Jones? it would catapult him on to the world stage.

Couldn't have explained it better.

I think hoot has just said pretty much why he would take the fight. Also did you hear his interview on ringside after he won PF. He is a personal trainer and in the gym pretty much everyday and is always in shape. Also, his trainer even said their mentality is fear nobody. He needs to be brought on a bit faster because of his age. They are why I would say he could take the fight, if he is in the UK.

Cox v O Sullivan not happening. Cox has left his promotor.

Gutted about this and the Rees v Murray news from last week. Got my tickets and will still be going but is obviously disapointing, but no ones fault. Must really affect the ticket sales too as I think Purdy had shifted a fair few and presumably a large amount of them will now not be going.

My problem with Sky is with the monopolising of all tv shows along with Matchroom. they have stitched up the fans and public IMO. In situations like this They've got no where to turn too now to try and rescue a show With them only working with each other and isolating other promoters.
