I've no idea on Shumenov or Ioka's amateur credentials TBH, Ioka from memory turned pro at like 20 and Shumenov was mid-early 20's.

Losing to a prime pavlik ain't no disgrace as he ruined Taylor who beat Hopkins undoubtedly.
What Miranda done to Eastman who on his day was a beast who Hopkins handled with extreme care which tells me alot.
& Eastman was robbed terrible against Abraham who also defeated Miranda.

I think bellew is doing fantastic & can keep company in top class & the critics must hold him in a high regard to have such mad expectations.

I've followed bellews career closely since his am days & I ain't be a biased fan.im knowledgeable & there is some bad unjust going on towards him.

People like degale & bellew are lads who don't fear who is inside the ropes & are prepared to risk there credentials to prove they are the best. Fight fans cry out that fighters take easy routes & swerve challenging fights & these type of lads want to give you them nights so support them!!

I like Bellew - I think his honesty, fighting spirit etc is commendable.

My argument here was with the promoter who seems to get an easy ride for things that others get slagged off for

Bellew needs a step up and I'm sure he'll get it

I like Tony although I find some the things he says a bit cringy, but thats the scouse coming out ( dramatics etc ) in him

I would like to see him back in with Nathan. It was close last time and would be closer in a rematch too I think.

I think Cleverly is wildly underestimated on here.

Granted he's got flaws but I believe it will take a very very good fighter at 175 to beat him.

Bellew fought a great fight against Cleverly, but Clev is just a little bit better.

Clev wins every time against Bellew

Cleverly said he had busted ribs before the fight etc. so why hasn't he returned bellew??

So every time someone beats a fighter they have to grant him a re-match?

I had the Bellew fight a draw, although Cleverly was the one coming on stronger at the end.

To me he looks to have a lot of potential but seems like he needs a new trainer capable of taking him to the next level, like Billy Nelson has done with Burns.

Of course not in the majority of cases, but its certainly a valid and proper convention when the fight was extremely competitive and won on a razor thin decision!

The rematch probably would have earned Cleverly his highest pay day to date.

And it seems Clev can't/won't make a decent match anywhere else it seems to be one of the few decent fights out there that the public would like to see.

would want to be a big name or eddie will be losing money on this as the echo areana is to big for the bomber

wont sell that many tickets against a none-household name

Miranda multiple world title challenger & wrecking ball who took Andre ward the full 12.

Orvil mckenzie who smashed the country's best cruisers & in his prime & a lot better then his record suggests & extremely feared like a Peter oboh.

Bobby ajisafe who is now flourishing & a decent fighter.

Lost a close decision to Nathan cleverly & was ready to step in on 24 hrs notice!!!as an under seasoned pro.

& coach potatoe clueless fight fans don't appreciate that!!

If anything he's been fast tracked & could do with some learning fights before he gets in that frame

If you look at Bellews record there is nothing to justify a "World" title challenge.

He represents the new breed of boxers who can box for Commonwealth, European and World titles and only fight British boxers (ok, he beat Atoli Moore for the Commonwealth, but the least said about that the better).

These are basically decent domestic fights re-packaged as something else.

Also, compare Bellew to the likes of Macintosh. Bellew has been full time since his amateur days, and has had a lot more favours than Macintosh (who actually boxed a European in Europe for his title !).

Mackenzie is a decent domestic level lad and Ajisafe is a decent Area level lad - it shows the level of your argument when you feel that you have to throw these names about.

This isn't slagging off Bellew - it isn't his fault - it is just indicative of modern British boxing.

& what justify's cleverley being a world champion in that case.
