But who did Tony beat of a better calibre than Green and Soliman? Sam seems to still be going strong with some clever match making :)

Was a sure thing except for arguably the greatest lightweight (Duran) and greatest jr. welterweight (Cervantes) standing in his way. Also, I might add two additions to the ever growing list in George Barnes and Charkey Ramon. I will also mention, although not add, one of the hottest prospects around in Cliff Sarmardin. I only saw him once and was so impressed I made a mental note to keep an eye on him. Unfortunately, the first time I saw him was the last time he entered the ring. Retired with a 24-0 record and I have no idea why. Anyone recall???

I have seen Cliffys bout with Lovemore Ndou and was thoroughly impressed, another poster (who i think uploaded the video) commented that Sarmardin's fight with Ndou was not even his best performance, that he had seen him numerous times live.
I have heard that Cliff was ripped off a few times and became disillusioned with boxing, which led to his early retirement. A couple of people who saw a good deal of Sarmardin said he could have gone on to great things in the ring.
