Smith seemed genuinely surprised at how hard Groves hit him and said that he weren't a real supermiddle and would move down to middle in order to compete. What has happened to change his mind? Anderson doesn't hit as hard as Groves but will take some shifting and hits plenty hard to do some damage.

Smith would beat Anderson in a good fight and Groves would smash him (Anderson) to pieces second time round. It does not matter how hard Ken is out of the ring, he will be exposed...

Smith does sell allot of tickets but bellew fights in the echo arena and sells it out smith as of late has been fighting in the Olympia. So how do u come to that calculation????????????????
I have been watching boxing in Liverpool for 30 years mate so don't try sound like u know the ins an outa of Liverpool boxing

Aright fanboy if I no so little answer me these question
1, When Bellew fought Ovill the first time why were people leaving during the entrance
2, Why was there at most 3000 in The Echo when he fought Danny Mac
and for me saying Smith being the second biggest seller he consistently fills out the Echo (Quigley,Dodson&DeGale) whereas Bellew filled it in a world title but when it was for the British the same title Smith was filling the Echo out with he struggled hence why Eddie has had him on the road because if Bellew sold the Echo out all the time that's where nearly all his fights would take place, so maybe I don't no the ins and outs like you least I no the facts and can look at thing without my rose tinted glasses
Listen to what your putting haha. Firstly bellew was an up N coming fighter when he fought ovil and he was not top of the bill.
Second you talk about smiths 3 fights. Quigly didson and degale. 2 local derbies that anyone from Liverpool would come out to see coz it's 2 scouserrs fighting and degale who everyone loves to hate. Lets also not forget to mention that where a top of the bill occasion.
No matter what you say you can not argue with the maths. Olympia holds 1500 echo holds 10,000 even if bellew sells a quater then that's more is it not ?????????

Stephen could have a good career if he improved his current ring IQ of 0.
Plus, he's the worst inside fighter I've ever seen. Brutal stuff, against both Simpson and Selby.

Being paid on the night, fighting on a big sky HD production...
Smith will defo fight eventually. What else will the fella do, hang around for some WBO international title on some Excel undercard in 2014 ?
And if he wins, he's in the mix again (although in the wrong weight class)

Just think he has turned into a typical Gallagher styled fighter as,taking too many shots , lack of head movement and general disregard for defence

Danny mc sold around 3,500 I was there so is that not more than double the Olympia holds?????????
And again let's not forget the grand national and Liverpool v Everton was the week before, the fight re scheduled. For me that's a good turn out considering the facts!
I rate all the smiths by the way excellent boxers and future champions, but I think your the only one in th world who can say smith sells more tickets when he has been fighing in the Olympia.

Wot is this! A scouse popularity contest!
Scousers know there boxing & football it's about all they do know!
I'd say smith had a good following doing well In the aba's & the games signed up with the big promoter & in the hot bed at Manchester. Since then he has not lived up to expectations.
Bellew has won domestic honours already & fought for a world title.
As said scousers know the sport & get behind there talent I think smith needs to win them back over. He's been cute in the past against Magee & look where he ended up. I hope the Anderson fight gets made it puts him back on top of the domestic pile

Don't encourage em by saying they know their football and boxing!!!
From experience, the blues know their football more so than the reds, who have some of the most delusional fans in the world. As for boxing? Similar to the football really. Wide range. In reality they don't know their football or boxing anymore or any less than Mancs, cockneys, geordies etc etc
Remember though, nobody loves their nans like scousers do!

Jesus, don't tar us all with the same brush*
As much as i'd like to see this fight, Smith really needs to stay at middle.
*I do love my Nan though.
