Pick pretty much any five random, recent or current US world champs, in any division. Have a look at their first ten pro fights and see how many of their opponents had huge numbers of fights on their cards, like our journeymen do. I don't think you'll find (m)any. You'll see a few that have losing records but their system doesn't usually result in journeymen fighting three or four times a month and losing them all.

Like I implied earlier, there is a lower level akin to our unlicensed scene where you get some real hopeless cases but when it comes to guys who will get on national TV, the US way of doing things is a lot tougher than ours.

I'm afraid my immediate thoughts on reading this and regarding GBP UK in general were... another promoter on the scene = more tit for tat between promoters = rival boxers not facing each other. I don't see how this is going to be good for UK boxing.

Checking out a selection and you're right the ones I looked at it's alarming the amount of perennial losers propping up fighters records over here compared to there. Those were high end fighters I looked at though.

Anthony Ogogo wouldn`t be my 1st choice of the Olympians. The way GBP match their prospects, I wouldn`t be surprised to see Ogogo come unstuck rather painfully.

He certainly needs major guidance & protecting IMO.
Gbp have seen he is a poster boy done the reality tv series,tv ads,team gb member & I think are under false pretences in this lads pulling power & he could be put in way deep if heads are low
