Matchroom basically have the Darts, Snooker, Poker, Prizefighter, Boxing and even bloody fishing and some Golf - They basically control the majority of big sporting events in the UK except Football and Rubgy etc

yes but as boxing fans there are more promotors with good shows other than the hearn pair,i dont know why sky didnt do a fans poll were the fans of boxing pick maybe 2 of the 3,4 or 5 promotors out there,to be honest the the most value for money shows have got to be coldwell and fearon

I dont see how its ripping people off , If u went to any boxing your not getting in for any less than £30 , and chances are it wont have the calibre of Froch on it , Then factor in a bit of something to eat , a few bevvies , Maybe travel and accomodation , It can be getting to around £200 if not more .

Lets face it if u subscribe to sky sports your not only paying for boxing , your paying for football (in the main) rubgy , darts , Cricket , Formula 1 and anything else they want to show such as tennis , NBA , Superbowl etc etc , so if your tenner is devided into the sports i doubt boxing gets even as much as 30p , how do you expect the top fights to be paid for with that 30p unless its on Box office .

its a rip off because as a boxing fan I subscribe to virgin/sky for the sport of boxing and sky have sold us boxing fans down the river for the likes of NBA and NFL,id like to see how many people in Britain would rather NFL or NBA over the likes of hatton or maloney boxing shows. who the fuk watches the slow boring sport of NFL anyway? as a man with a family to provide for I cant get to shows like this or any other which is why I subscribe to sky,i'm a Liverpool fan too so,like you say,if I went to a football match and a boxing show then just for that weekend its gonna cost close to half a grand,im not on footballers wages so I got to settle for 2nd best which is sky TV or virgin then they want me to pay more? its a joke and we just meant to sit here and take it? somethin has to be done we cant keep getting fleeced by the tv companies

If you're subscribing to Sky for the boxing, you're doing it wrong. Their boxing output has been limited for quite some time , you might as well phone and cancel. Even if you don't want to to, phone and pretend you're going to cancel anyway. You'll end up with it half price for 3 or 6 months.

I think they've wised up to that carry on now, the last 2 times I've rang up to cancel they have just said ok it will be switched off in a month thanks for calling.

If I sit tight they eventually get back in touch and make an offer.

I'm on a corking deal at present of 70% off for 12 months. The full package is costing me £26 a month.

Jesus! I may do the same with my Virgin media subscription which is currently setting me back about 90 quid a month as I've got all Sky Sports channels, ESPN and FW channel.
