I was going to fly over for this with afew mates for my 40th birthday. Couldn`t get 4 seats together.
Looks like I`ll do the PPV, a case of shitty Norwegian beer, curry, stripper, filthy whore spunk vessel and large tub of vaseline. Cheaper by far.

There is something strange about this for me. Who has bought all the tickets? When the likes of Forcefraser and SteveDow cant get tickets, blokes who travel to shows regulary for years, something is wrong. Like i said, the secondary market is not THAT strong.

Now officially sold out, with hundreds appearing on the likes of eBay. Ridiculous.

I'm not sure I want a ticket now - maybe I could fly to yours and watch it!

Yeah, the only other time I had problems getting the seats I wanted was oddly enough for the Haye v Chisora fight last year and after about a week or two I randomly looked again on the ticket site and they had loads left in the block I wanted. Hopefully something similar may happen with this. I'm genuinely staggered that this fight has sold out so quickly as whilst Froch is highly revered by all boxing fans he is not that big a name and hardly anyone I know who is not a boxing fan would have heard of Mikkel Kessler.

Yep - if this was in Nottingham I could understand it given Froch's popularity / profile up there. Just seems very odd that its sold out so quickly as there has not been much publicity in the papers either. Like you I hope a few blocks become available at a later date.

Joke isn't it, Ive just messaged someone on there selling £60 ticket for £350, saying are you messin with that price. Joke.
I hope Ebay cracks down on them and they all get stung for it and the arenas half empty. The whole thing been a joke.
We pay monthly for one episode of Ringside a week, the odd fight and a Prizefighter every so often. Then, when they get a good fight on, back comes ppv, 10% "service charge" on already expensive tickets and all the ticket touts bought half the tickets. Joke.

I'm now looking on the bright side - can have a few mates round for a BBQ, watched the Champions League final in comfort (you just know they won't show it on the screens at the 02!) and then see the fight on the box with a great view and not up in the gods! All for a fraction of the cost

Which boxers are selling them? Do you have any contact details you could post on here as they'll certainly be able to shift them given how many people were thwarted by the useless website yesterday.

Quite right. Several thousand tickets are allocated to the undercard guys and not released on general sale. They are all classed as "sold", though, because they're out.
For those wondering who is on the undercard. Look on Ebay, they're all on there flogging tickets to idiots.

Excuse my naiveity but it'd be a real shocker if undercard boxers were flogging their tickets for huge mark-ups on the price! I assume you're joking though!

When undercard announced ask the fighters via twitter to buy tickets I am sure they sell them.

Thanks for that. Doesn`t look to bad either. I can read Danish, but I have no chance of understanding it when it`s spoken
I believe some Danes cannot even understand each other if they come from different parts of the country.
A bit like a pissed up Glaswegian talking to a stoned Welshman.

were you expecting them to show the CL final in the areana? I wasent, if they chose to do that and stopped the fights i wouldent be too happy , fornicate the champions league final ,this fight is worth ten of those and if any boxing fan in that areana expects them to show the game while we have to wait for a fight they need there head examined

I thought we would see like 10,000 seats go immediately, then over the course of a week or 10 days the remainder would go. For it to sell out of all the middle seats in half an hour is far more rapid than anyone forecasted.
Perhaps some lessons need to be learned by this ticket situation.
When Hatton vs Mayweather was signed, a box office in Manchester had a few thousand tickets, and they vetted them by getting fans to show stubs of previous vegas fights they had attended.
Perhaps, if there is another Froch vs at the 02, then maybe Capital FM arena get a wad of tickets so at least the scores of Nottingham fans who have supported him home and abroad, have an opportunity to get the pick of the seats they want at the price they want - rather than scrum for whatever they can get by sheer luck - and spend perhaps less or more money than they hoped.
As it stands now, guys who wanted £250 seats - had the choice of £500 seats or sit back and probably end up paying £120 for a crummy £40 ticket because a tout got in the door first.
It rubbish that the two fighters, the promotional teams and the venue, split a £40 ticket between them - and yet a tout makes double on top and pays no tax on it either.
Viagogo and all those sh*t sites need shutting down because they are touts and it encourages it. They trade behind their funky logo, when they are a touting company.

As much as I am against the touts, the truth of the matter is matchroom underestimated the demand on this fight ! If it sold out in 4 hours ( tout companies or not ) it should of been at a football stadium ! If froch beats Kessler I guarantee the ward rematch ( if in the uk ) will be at a football stadium !
I understand the Kessler fight is a better spectacle, but the froch v ward rematch will sell 40,000 tickets no problem what so ever.
