Chinned means "knocked out".

Being chinned means "to be knocked out".

Chinny is the derivative, therefore it means "likely to be knocked out".

ok post the definition of Chinny or Chinned from either the oxford or cambridge dictionaries. Also chin in the oxford dictionary is -
1 informal hit or punch (someone) on the chin: he looked about ready to chin someone

I think you're being a bit anal on this occasion - there isnt real definition of chinny as far as im aware which makes it subjective. Which is why i asked the question.

Chinny in boxing means being unable to weather a fairly full blooded blow to the noggin. if you do not have the durability to absorb such blows it could obviously put you at a disadvantage to the other nutta in front of you depending upon their lack of punch resistance.

like i have said i have seen and been clipped with them backlists and even with a good chin and with not a lot of power they seem catch you from nowhere to send you all over the place .

So you are saying from your own experience a shot that can look fairly innocuous when it lands can cause more damage than you would imagine when viewing from the outside??

innocuous ? Those spinning back fists land really hard ,because of the way they are thrown and velocity they are travelling at they have only got to clip you in the right spot and your gone
I dont think there is a punch in boxing you can compare it to !? ..they remind me of having a 5 kg weight on a length of chain an swinging it around your head at somebody

What I'm saying is that video of King Mo getting tapped in the right spot doesn't look like much but you say the effect they can have can be devastating with not much pressure.
So it could be fair to say that other areas on the head could just get tapped like that and you lose control a bit. I suppose that could have happened to David Price, because that punch didn't look like that much but it 'could' have hit him in the sweet spot like getting spin tapped on the chin? :?? :??

A spinning backfist doesn't look like much because it's delivered in such a weird way; nonetheless it gets its power from the rotation of the body, like any other full-blooded shot. A cuff to the side of the head doesn't look like much because it's, well, an arm punch

Its a hard thing to define, fighting styles have a lot to do with it as well.

For example Muhammed Ali is often credited with having a great chin but how much was his success down to fighting on the retreat, being caught as he was swaying away from the punch, being caught as he was back peddling or being hurt but being able to tie up or clown his way out of it.

Then on the other hand Nigel Benn was said to not have the greatest chin but he fought on the attack so would walk onto punches, the sort of punches someone like Ali rarely got hit with therefore he would end up being hurt, dropped and staggered more regularly.
