Hearn seems to like putting his guys in with the best in the division which is a huge clash of intrest with team burns. Hearn regulary works with goldenboy so not sure what hes going to say when he get the broner call in the next couple of days and has to turn it down after speaking to burns due to "Timing". Then Billy will be on saying how if they ever fight burns would win which is very easy to say when you have absolutely no intention of ever fighting him!

I think they are going to build it right up until its Sky box office material.

They have designs on Burns getting involved at some 10,000 seat velodrome , and also market him through the darts etc they do up there.

Speaking of Velodromes, Derby is getting a massive velodrome , completion next summer, and I know they're talking about it being the area's top venue for concerts and also big boxing events.

Who? I can only think of Rees-Broner, and that was hardly down to Hearn.

Barker vs Matinez in usa
Froch vs Ward (not really hearn part of super 6)
Froch vs Bute
Froch vs Kessler 2
Brook vs Alexandrer in usa (His no2 fighter fighting in enemy territory)
Bellew vs Chimemba (very tough fight, much easyer opponents avaliable)

Hearn definetely goes for the tough fan friendly route 85% of the time. I still dont think a hearn monpoly is a bad thing as long as he makes the best fights which he has been doing. The best example would be dana white and the ufc, its like a dictatorship, no bs alphabet titles, tune up fights he makes the best fights the fans want to see simple as that. Its his way or the highway. If hearn follows this model we are laughing. Not sure how he will handle the burns vs broner situation though, you cant make a man fight although white has never had this problem.

I have an uneasy feeling this might prove to have been a rash decision. If the documents Warren posted are legit - which is backed up by Sean Gibbons' statements to the Daily Mail that from Vazquez's end the fight was on for April 20th - then there's at least extrinsic evidence of a commitment on Burns' part to fight Vazquez on that date. Whether or not there is an actual signed agreement to that effect is a different matter.

Of course, it all depends on a lot of other things. Warren's statement that he's only recently paid Burns part of 'his latest fight' may be very revealing, depending on Warren's own contractual obligations regarding payment for fights.

proof that he's believing his own twitter avatar. What a balloon. Like HBO are seriously going to take daddy's boy seriously and say "yes Eddie, thanks for bringing little Gav for Adrien to beat up, we'll bring our whole operation to Glasgow for a fight that's going to involve our star fighter dropping from his latest fight at 147 back down to 135 to fight a boxer no-one in America has heard of"

He'll do what he did to Barker and Rees and feed him up to get smashed up in the US and probably not even earn a serious payday from it.

At least when Burns got his shot, despite it being against a fighter that everyone thought would smash Burns to pieces, FW DID manage to get the fight in Glasgow and he had Vasquez lined up for a unification over here.

How anyone can claim that the Froch matchups were anything to do with him when all the work had been done by being on the Super Six I don't know. The only thing I give him credit for is getting the first leg of the agreed 2 parter with Bute over here - Carl did the job so well that it avoided part 2. Frampton v Martinez was a good matchup and even that was pretty much an inevitability to happen. Kessler/Froch 2 made sense for both fighters and Hearn ruined Froch's classic run with that joke 'fight' against Mack.

As I said before the Alexander fight's been postponed twice and he had no chance of bringing Alexander over here so his chances of beating Devon in the US are at best 1 in 3. Lets see him genuinely build a fighter all the way himself (I credit McGuigan with more of Frampton's progress than Hearn) and make some classic fights before he goes too far with this 'saviour of british boxing' act.
