Prizefighter is pants! It would be a fun fight while it lasts but I'd have to go with Wilder!

Great match-up,toughest fight of Deontay Wilders career on paper,i can see him taken care of Audley Harrison simalar to how David Price did,no way Harrison can handle Wilders punch power,i quite like Wilder,27 fights,27 KOs whats not to like about the way he goes about his business,but he really needs to start stepping up level fast i cant understand somebody with his amateur pedigree being babied

It just all depends on what audley turns up imo, aggressive power punchers are not great news for Aud in the first place, but major props for taking the fight, its his baptism of fire he's shown he can be a class above the domestic league his career started again that night, can he finally put a way a banger without looking terrified? My money would be on wilder early stoppage if i was going with my head - but i'll put some more money on Audley because if he pulls off this negu stuff and ends up going on to win a world title it would be very very inspiring. Also the odds will be great.

don't agree with the licence bit but I get what you are saying in the last couple of sentences.
However, can we also endorse the italian bloke fighting Wlad Klitschko, after 2 of his last three fights have been UDs over a 43/44 Frans Botha and Oliver McCall?
Anyone? Can you square that circle? or is it because he is based in Gelsenkirchen?
Aud beating Wilder, plus a top10 contender - However unlikely - would be equally deserving of a title shot...only my view.

It's a fun fight. Wilder has the glossy record and the big backers, but let's face it, he's completely unproven. His quality of opposition thus far has been pretty atrocious, especially given the fact he won an Olympic medal! Audley definitely represents a step up for him.

I love Audley, always have been a sucker for all his mantras etc., but every time anybody puts him under any sort of pressure (even in the fights he has won and impressed), I see the eyes widen, the pupils dilate, and that unforgettable deer in the headlights look.

Strange choice for a opponent (from Wilders prepective). If memory serves was'nt Wilder one of Auds main sparring partners for the Price fight? I am pretty sure it was!! If that is the case Wilder's team have always shown a 'play it safe' mentality with his matchmaking, makes me think that Wilder thinks he can do this given what he has learnt from big Aud their sparring sessions. On the flip side big Aud must think he is a chance given what he has learnt from him in these session aswell.

Interesting fight!! but for the winner I can't help thinking a title shot should be coming his way!! Good god, the HW scene is pretty dire!!

He's being babied because he's not very good. But if they build his record up to 35-0 or something then he'll at least get a title shot and some publicity. But you can see that he's just not a very good fighter.

getting on to the prices, £50 cheapest seats plus a £5 (why?) admin charge, then £75 and then, if you want to sit just a few feet in front £50 seats you can pay £125 for the same view.
I realise that numerous fighters on the bill etc and people want paying but is it me or that a lot for a boxing match.......when you consider that if the thing falls through you're probably not going to receive a penny back.

I don't get why he [Khan] picked the Sheffield Arena. I would guess because it's not as big as the 02 or MEN so slightly easier to sell out.

It's not even like the undercard is remotely strong either so it's hard to see why the tickets have had almost a 100% price hike. Nothing on this card justifies it. Has he slightly overvalued his worth [again]?

Do Matchroom have a hand in this anywhere?

I don't think Wilder can fight and, after all these years and all these fights, he has no experience of anyone of any note whatsoever. All the red flags are right there in front of you.

It will not be an upset if Audley does a Thompson/Price on him at all.

You've obviously not been on here during some frustrating and elongated 'debates'. The grounds are that he's just a pretty boy, doesn't work hard, hasn't fought anybody, those he has were past it, all talk, the toe etc etc Take your pick. To me, he's one of the handful of fighters I'd still make a grand effort to watch, and take great enjoyment from watching (including against Valuev). Best Cruiser in the world while champ (and thats often disputed too), and on par with anyone below K2 as a heavyweight (again, frequently disputed).

Wilder looks a big step up from Prizefighter level, even just from his Olympic pedigree, also he is a puncher which all points towards Audley having an early night.
My only nagging doubt is that they have sparred so Audley must fancy it to accept it. I can't believe it is a big enough payday to be accepted purely on those grounds. Also if Harrison does pull of an upset he prob wont get the credit as everyone will say Wilder is a bum. Apparently despite his Olympic success the American barely had any amateur experience.
