Re: Haye is back June 29th

Thinking about it more, I think it's quite possible tomorrow's PC will just be announcing his plans and dates etc. Opponent could well not be until nearer the time.
Last I heard the WBA had set a deadline of 31st August for Wlad-Povetkin to be made. IF that goes to schedule (I think it's unlikely), perhaps Haye is lining up Pudar as a tune up for an October fight for the WBA's second tier title - which I'm assuming would become vacant as soon as Povetkin fought Klitschko.MachoMan09 wrote:Pudar is in the WBA rankings. Is there any way that Haye has been tipped the wink that Povetkin is going to somehow vacate or be stripped of his belt between Thursday and the end of June and that a match versus Pudar could be upgraded to a title fight?Freedom2013 wrote:According to this, Haye may be fighting age 41 journeyman Jovo Pudar:

I dont think haye is going for the mandatory route i think he's going to use public opinion, media and tv companies power to force the klits into fighting him. He will need to fight opponents with names to do that.Jack B wrote:Last I heard the WBA had set a deadline of 31st August for Wlad-Povetkin to be made. If that all happened, and he won both fights of course, he'd become WBA mandatory. The only problem with that is they only enforce mandatories every 18 months, so he would have to wait an age.
I still think the WBO route is the quickest, and therefore best, route to forcing a mandatory Klitschko fight.
Hasn't he spent the last 18+ months doing that? With no success? I was of the opinion that he thinks becoming mandatory is the only way the Klitschko's will fight him.Finn wrote: I dont think haye is going for the mandatory route i think he's going to use public opinion, media and tv companies power to force the klits into fighting him. He wears grants has done pretty much his whole career apart from fragomeni when he wore winning (bad hands for that fight?)rhino222 wrote:i have heard that when they sparred haye absolutely 'mullered' helenius....so god knows what damage the hayemaker will do with reyes gloves!

Adamek's just parted with Main Events, free agent? Anyhow Povetkin or Pulev would be just as good as Adamek for me.leforge wrote: I thought he was pals with Oquendo. If it aint Adamek it going to be poor fight,
Povetkin going after Wlad. Pulev would be good fight bit too risky for Haye.Final round wrote:Adamek's just parted with Main Events, free agent? Yeah Pulev is a very dangerous fight, fast hands and proper heavy, it would be good.. Shame about Povetkin I think Haye would chop him down.leforge wrote:Povetkin going after Wlad. I'd bet against it being any of those.mullenman wrote:adam booth said it could be five different opponents all in the top 15
four of these opponents are unbeaten so here is his list:
alexander povetkin,, who wont take the fight
robert helenius,, chance of him and haye would smash his face in
denis boystov,, very padded record
kubrat pulev,, would be a great fight
plus one other,, probably solis who has beaten haye many years ago and would be a good rematch
Adamek or Helenius id be happy with (i would cry if its povetkin), i dont think helenius would be daft enough to take that fight though. However if he is looking for the mandatory shot at Vitali these are the top ranked with the WBC.JimJim2009 wrote:I'd bet against it being any of those.mullenman wrote:adam booth said it could be five different opponents all in the top 15

Povetkin - only if he's forced into the match
Helenius - he's taking the slow route back to the top of the ranks, he's still unbeaten so there's value in keeping him that way but his people have seen his limitations so putting him in with haye wouldn't be wise. i'd expect him to face haye if a world title was a stake but otherwise, no. if he stays unbeaten he'll get a world title fight anyway later this year or in 2014
Boystov - ongoing legal problems with promoter, no chance of him taking the fight
Pulev - he's got his own route to the IBF mandatory slot and doesn't need to fight Haye to get a world title fight
