Indeed mate. I've only just found out. Danny Wright, who was at ringside on the night, found out a bit earlier.

I'll do a bit which won't be as good as Danny's but he's otherwise engaged at the moment.

Hi guys Michael passed away at about 06:30 this morning got a text message early this morning. Tragic news RIP
He put up a hard fight there had lots of complications after surgery was up and down they took him off the sedation and ventilators few days ago and it was a mater of waiting for him to wake up but .. xxxxx

Terrible news. He started off as white collar boxer and decided to take it further. I met him and sparred many rounds with him at the Cityboxer gym. He was well educated and had a sweet job on the city at the time so he didn't need to go pro. I guess he just loved the sport and challenge which makes it even more tragic to me. A very nice, smart friendly guy too.
My thoughts go out to his nearest & dearest.

Sad sad news, didn't realise until seeing the picture that it's the same fellow I met at that gym a few years back. Very friendly guy and with some talent.
