I know a young lad who was 12 at the time of the miners strike, was kicked senseless by thugs being watch by their fathers. There were sad times in Donny back in the early 80's
That is a horrible thing to happen but how exactly was it Thatcher's fault ?

No need for a history lesson as I am old enough to recall the strike vividly but how exactly was a 12 year old lad getting a beating from thugs Thatcher's fault ? Did she tell the thugs to do it ?

Cause and effect, Dubya didn't actually bomb any of the 100000 Iraqi civillians that have been
killed these past 10 years but he is wholly responsible. :TU:

It doesn't take much to knock holes in a simplistic view like that but I am not totally convinced its not a wind up, if so well done I almost bit, if not.. well nevermind.

What a sick poll. I can't believe people are suggesting they are happy at the death of someone.

Seeing it's been up and running now for a couple of hours, without being taken down, I'll assume the people running this site think this is a suitable topic for Boxrec?

Disgusting.

I tend to agree. Before my time (in terms of awareness of her at any rate) think she actually came in about my birthday.
So I don't really know the ins and outs but, to repeat a point I heard some years ago, who the hell wants to work down a coal mine in the 21st century with all the health implications?

The poll isn't "disgusting". Its merely showing the strong emotive responses that one politician impacted everyones lives.

Its just a poll stop taking it out of context, its not disgusting at all. There have been more disgusting things happen in the world over the years, starving in Africa, does that disgust you too? No, why? because you don't think about the issues in the world.

There are lots of bad things happening all over the place that's far worse. If you don't like the topic don't read it, its that simple.

I do know its in the wrong place ive put up in brackets (OT) 'off topic'

I put it here as this is the column I think that's well viewed and as Maggie was an aconic figure I thought it was best to talk about it on a 'British and Irish' thread that is all.

This will be tomorrows news tomorrow so im sure it will move on like the plague, the great fire of London, the Yorkshire Ripper, World War 2 (which had far more disgusting events to people an places, ask my great grand father)

I don't run BoxRec, but I certainly think it's suitable.

But, more to the point...can you reveal if the funeral will be on B allegedly?

Would it still be suitable if we where talking about the passing of Michael Norgrove?
