I see Butcher has a warm up, although not very good opponent BUT he is a Feather weight and has fought as high as Lightweight. Has been KO'd every time he has fought outside Hungary.. Maybe team Butcher is looking to get in a few rounds... If that is the case they should of got Francis Croes :TU:

Iain's fight in belfast was arranged Before he was offered the Brittish title fight

The more fights and rounds Butcher can get in before the Satchell fight the better, go into it nice and sharp.

I hope Butcher can pull it off but I think Satchell will be too good at this stage. Wilton had his moments in Satchells last fight so It may not be all one way traffic.

Like people have said no one knows how good Butcher is, but well soon see.

Iain and his training team are top guys and they have a wee cracker there in Iain, he has real good speed and a very high workrate and a great willingness to learn all the right ingredients to become a champion. What I like about them is there willingness to travel for sparring something other Scottish fighters have been guilty off.Thankfully he never ripped the pish out of Ricky to much. :bag:
Let's hope he's Scotland's next domestic champion.

Paul really needs to stop doing what Tommy Gilmour is so guilty of and that's comparing there own fighter with another usally a ex champ or current one its a little embarrassing.
Iain is his own person and hopefully he will be good enough to pull this fight off and win well but undue pressure from Paul isn't needed.
People may come back and say ive suggested Ricky Burns will be Scotland's best ever fighter and that's putting pressure on him but hes proving my point, well it is getting closer and closer, those who laughed at it 2 years ago aren't laughing as much now

How did Butcher get a shot? I guess it must be a voluntary

Maybe But there aint many more, you have Wilton and Edwards above Butcher and Kevin has already beat them...

In fairness Wilton had fought nobody either.
There was a time when the BBBoC wouldn't have allowed it, they actually ended up awarding Magri a Lonsdale belt because there was not anyone else worthy of fighting for it over a 2 year period
