I'd pick Haye to beat Fury, but it's far from an easy fight for him. Tyson's durable and he likes to make his opponent fight for every second of every round, something Haye doesn't like doing.

Isn't Haye associatd to Sky though?? If so there could be some broadcasting obstacles to over come before it's signed, it would be great to see this fight go out on Channel5 and reach a massive audience, but I can't see how they'd afford the money to get this fight on.

If Mr Maloney is to be believed, then he spoke with Fury's promoter and asked can we sit down and try and negotiate a deal for Price v Fury to take place. This was around the time Fury fought Johnson I think and obviously before Price lost. And the answer according to Mr Maloney was no, we won't even sit and negotiate.

I can't see how team Fury are going to from not even being willing to negotiate to probably having to accept a few demands in terms of money, TV, location etc etc in order to make a big domestic dust up. I can't think of many times that fighters promoted by Hennessy have given up much to make big fights. There's Froch in the super 6 but obviously the majority of those fights were agreed before that started and there was Froch v Taylor and there (and I may have remembered incorrectly here) I think Taylor's people won the purse bid.

In my opinion Hennessy is an excellent promoter. He has (since I have been watching boxing) put on excellent bills and he regularly gets his fighters home advantage by winning purse bids in domestic title fights, European title fights and World title fights. However there comes a time when you have to sit down and negotiate and give up a bit of ground in order to make the very biggest fights and I can't think of a time during his World title winners reigns when this has happened except for the Super 6 with Froch and it was obvious that Froch would make far more money from being in the Super 6 than not being in it. Obviously you can argue that Fury was a way ahead of Price in terms of development and ranking but if that is the case then sit down and negotiate yourself a more favourable deal money wise using that bargaining tool.

I dont think Valuev was quick enough on his feet to pin Haye down though to be honest.

I dont think Valuev was quick enough on his feet to pin Haye down though to be honest.

Did you see Cunningham put Fury down... I think Haye is equally slippery, and carries a lot more power. This ends early if it ever happens, which I don't think it will cause Fury has enough about him to get a shot at the Klitschkos and strikes me as barmy enough to take one of those fights for nothing and a million rematch clauses too!!
