I'm sure O'Connor would of stopped the fight if Groves had got knocked down like that. Yeah right

When will someone tell O'Connor how to do his job properly? Don't bother having a look into his eyes Tel, don't bother asking him to walk to you. Just wave it off. Wave wave wave. The guy is good at waving.

A sign of how fucked you need to be for O'Connor to wave it off if you're the home fighter.

Re: Froch v Kessler card RBR thread
Was very impressed with groves there, seems to improve with every fight which is good to see.
Clearly an early stoppage though. Not sure it makes a difference.

I just knew he was going to stop it as early as he could. Must be his tea time
Final round wrote:Terry O' Connor looks ready to jump in there.
I said that in anticipation but I think Groves did the job fair and square there.

You commented before the first bell rang. I commented before the first bell rang. It just shows how well he is thought of as a referee.Final round wrote:Old bones Ian wrote:Final round wrote:I dunno? when El' Tel starts waving aint nothing stopping him!![]()

Those waving cats you see in Chinese restaurants were inspired by some Chinese tourists who accidentally stumbled in to a night of boxing where O'Connor was referee.Old bones Ian wrote:![]()

Agree, bad timed stoppage by a really dumb ref. He has no sense of timing at all, must be a nightmare for his wife, he probably rolls over and bangs the pillow.

I blame George Groves. Just think, if the bastard had not chinned the kiddie, then O'Connor wouldn't have jumped in.
