another 120-109 score card to floyd,easy money if you ask me,if mathew hatton can go the distance with canelo then what will floyd do? there isnt a boxer/fighter at 140,147 or 154 who can beat floyd at this moment,he is the best of the last 8-10 years

the catchweight doesn't really bother me.

If Saul Alvarez is stupid enough to give away 2lb in size advantage then fair play to Floyd for enforcing it.

On the flip side is Alvarez confident enough that he doesn't mind shedding the extra 2lb? he is going to be monstrously larger than Mayweather come fight night and its feasable to see him winning on natural strength and bully tactics alone.

If anyone criticises Mayweather in any way shape or form for this fight then they nothing about Boxing.

Can't wait for this, it's the fight I've been wanting. Part of me thinks that the old master will put on a boxing masterclass and put the young pup well and truly in his place but the other part of me thinks that this could be an upset...
In saying that, I guess Canelo would have to knock out Floyd to win?

hmm blatant duck of the INJURED martinez haha,if he is injured and the fight was made you would say then that he is only fighting him cause he is injured and so on and so on...... floyd is the best out there and he cant fight everyone who calls his name out or fight everyone that the people say fight. he is fighting the best of the best so good on him,make his money give a few boxing lessons out then retire its only what the smart fighters would do. next your gonna say why doesnt he fight ward.

No fan of catch weights, especially when both guys hold a world title at 154, but no big deal, we get the fight and Canelo is young enough that his body should handle the extra 2lb cut without any adverse effects..... Gotta be honest, I hope the kid still rehydrates to his max/ comfortable weight come fight time, he needs all the help he can get. He is gonna have to be busier than he was against Trout. The longer he spends looking for openings the more he is going to eat the lead right hand, he needs to take chances, rely on his size and youth and hope to outwork Mayweather with his combination punching. Don't see anything but a 117-111 type of win for Mayweather, but still a fight that could have its moments if Canelo is willing to gamble.

We can harp on and on about Floyd getting things in his favor but it's canelo and golden boy signing the contract, if it was that bad they would not sign !

I take my hat off to Mayweather, i thought he was going to avoid Alvarez like the plague.

Anyone else agree with me that for a guy at the absolute peak of the business Mayweather is remarkably reasonable regarding weight. He fought Oscar and Cotto at lmw and has agreed to this fight above 147. It needs to be bore in mind that he calls the tune and could easily say 147 or nothing. Of course the Marquez debacle detracts from this argument somewhat!

This is a very good bout, a good match of styles and whoever isn't happy or won't enjoy watching I can't see them being a boxing fan. If you think it's a bad match and you won't watch then why comment? I dare say this will be an exciting bout Alverez is very good and will pressure strongly. Floyd is a welter, boxing the best the next weight up is ok with me.

I agree, although I suppose you could argue that DLH and Cotto were small at the weight and more natural WWs, and Canelo is more of a natural LMW. It's a really great fight, one of if not the best that can currently be made.

Boxing is mental and physical. Floyd is not scared of Canelo.

The weight issue was apparently the carrot from Canelo to get the fight. Floyd did not mention the weight and he has allowed Canelo to step in the ring at whatever weight he wants on the night.
