Least BBC cards tell you what going to be on the undercard. Not on sky. they dont have a clue whos fighting who on the undercard, you got a good competitve fight in takaloo v alexander. then 8 mismatches on the undercard. i know what card i would rather be at.

BBC have made the right result by showing it the next day to save boxing. it will get 3-4 million veiwers. thats more than Match of the day. in your face BBC sport bosses. hopefully the bosses will see their stupity and give BBC promoters more air time and axe match of the day. i would rather see delayed fights on bbc that i dont know whats going to happen. then tune in live on friday on sky sports and see mismatches. SKy even have there own title the WBU title. not on BBC they have european and british titles. BBC number 1.

Sportsnetwork seem more interested in the punters who turn up for the glitzy main event then sod off afterwards. Hardly boxing fans.

how may times have the BBC had a big Vegas event, with a strong undercard, and they've only shown the one fight?

fight academy and hennessey may put on better undercards in general, but i dont think that's because of pressure from the BBC.

In terms of USA shows, I agree, BBC don't show enough undercard action and SkySports win that one.

I've mislead you slightly because I was think more of the boxing supporters who actually go to the shows and sit through all the nights boxing. The TV bit didn't serve my point very well.

Haye gets nearly four million viewers at the right time on a Saturday or just over 1 million at the wrong time on Friday. There is not, and there will probably not be for a long time, a chance of a fight taking place at a reasonable time. Haye on Grandstand is bad for the few fans that exist but it could be better in the long run for boxing's future on the BBC.

Yep, I agree, if we want boxing to remain a fixture in the mainstream, then it's important that the mainstream fans get to see it, rather than just die hard boxing fans. You ain't gonna get boxing on in a prime time slot instead of soaps/game shows, inspector morse reruns, because people would go fornicating ballistic about it and write in in their thousands to complain.

That has to be one of the most brutal KOs I've ever seen. Tak looked good until he hurt Wayne, then made the mistake of running in to try and finish him.

Wayne may not have the chin, durabilty etc, but he is one of, if not THE, hardest single-shot punchers in the world. I don't actually recall him putting all his weight into a punch. He just sticks his arm out!

Hopkins, DLH, Wright, Mosley. They would have no chance if they left their chins out for him. However, they wouldn't do that, and Wayne doesn't have the skills or the durability to match them. I'd like to see him get a major fight, though. He's definately earned it.

Sad for Tak, though. Can he come back?

Yeah, whilst Alexander has a great punch, he doesn't have the all around skills to compete with the elite in the devision. As Ensley Bingham will vouch, you need more than one punch knockout ability to beat the likes of Wright.

I think there is more of a chance of Alexanber losing to a journeyman than beating the best in the devision.

I do find Alexander a strange fighter to figure out, sometimes his handspeed looks very sluggish and and I do question how he can generate that power. Then he seems to draw some punches from somewhere that are fast and hard. In most of the last fight, Takaloo was slipping and blocking Alexander, who seemed to be punching through butter. THEN.....

If Tak had been 6inches closer it would have been a KO victory for him.
Check the distance his punch missed by and the gap Wayne slotted the shot through.
