I could actually see Floyd winning a decision over Duran....maybe

I know. But can you imagine a fight of Duran vs Hagler in 1980 for the world middleweight title after he beat Leonard?

Roberto Duran, the WBC World Welterweight Champion, fights the World Middleweight and Undisputed Champion Marvin Hagler. Imagine that. It would have been a better fight. Prime vs prime right there.

Or, Roberto Duran, the WBC World Welterweight Champion, fights the WBA World Welterweight Champion Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns in 1980.

They would have been better fights no matter the outcome.

Duran didn't exactly show up in great shape for the Leonard rematch. I think Hearns would've beaten that version. Hagler/Duran would've turned out the same way; Hagler by decision. Duran, while still good (beat Barkley) just wouldn't have beaten Hagler at middle.
