I beginning to think that Fury wouldn't be able to communicate if Twitter didn't exist.

He manages it in live interviews on Channel Five, phone calls to Sky and even through singing to the crowd! What more do you want?Syntax Error wrote:I beginning to think that Fury wouldn't be able to communicate if Twitter didn't exist.

i can't take fury's rant seriously.. they always seem to be scripted by a 12 year old and spoken by an adult...

Well maybe a few heavyweights should get 12 year olds writing them scripts because, like it or not, he is one of THE best known fighters in this country. Not all dislike him, either, far from it. Most of my pals thought his singing was terrible but all loved him doing it and will never forget it.

Re: Tyson fury twitter rant to haye
I watched the Cunningham fight at work with the rest of my watch.
They are casual fans at most but come the end of the fight, everyone in the room was anti-Fury except me! His showboating and general moronic behaviour didnt seem to go down too well. They all cheered when Cunningham floored him! I was quite surprised as I think he is quite a likeable character although I do wish he would stop the 'yeah baby' chat, along with the baseball caps and constant peace signs. One thing Fury ain't is a black US east coast rapper. It's not a good look for him ( or anyone to be honest! )

Well I guess everyone is different but the general feeling I get, white working class/rough non traveller males like him.lillywhite14 wrote:I watched the Cunningham fight at work with the rest of my watch.

In boxing to be loved or hated is a good thing, it all sells tickets , the problem would be if no one knew who he was!mickey1975 wrote:Well I guess everyone is different but the general feeling I get, white working class/rough non traveller males like him.lillywhite14 wrote:I watched the Cunningham fight at work with the rest of my watch.

Re: Tyson fury twitter rant to haye
Yeah that fight was a perfect example Coco.
There were 12 of us watching it. After about two minutes of action 11 badly wanted him to get knocked out and I was rooting for him!
Better to be spoken about than not at all.
I found amongst the casual fans they tend to like Price a lot more too. Before he got splattered by Thompson of course.

Re: Tyson fury twitter rant to haye
I get the feeling when I watch Fury in interviews like that, that he's trying to convince himself as much as the public that he has what it takes to be an elite heavyweight. I dont think Tyson is as confident as he likes to give off the impression that he is.lillywhite14 wrote:I watched the Cunningham fight at work with the rest of my watch.

Re: Tyson fury twitter rant to haye
No im not hating on him MM, just stating what I see. He's got a ton of heart no doubt. As for anyone being as confident as they like to give off the impression that they are, well I guess it depends on the person. Not everyone is outwardly confident anyway as you'll know. It's just with Fury its quite transparent that he lacks in confidence to me and it's an act because you'll see other interviews of him where it's like watching another person.MachoMan09 wrote:Is anyone? Re: Tyson fury twitter rant to haye
You have to take that comment in it's proper context and besides, the heavyweight division is so shyte these days that most fighters will have doormen, domestic plodders and blown up cruiserweights on their record. My point was simple. Fury is a useless lump who claims to be the greatest and hasn't fought anyone of not or even had a title shot.DavidPayne wrote:Oh the irony!Quixall wrote:
Well, for a start Haye isn't the one who is claiming to be the greatest heavyweight out there based on fighting a few doorman, out of shape europeans, domestic plodders and an old blown up cruiserweight.

Yeah, good luck to the kid, but as far as a being a boxer, the guy is near useless and say's so much about the complete lack of quality in the heavyweight division. People will be paying to see Haye knock the guy into nexxt weekMachoMan09 wrote:Quixall wrote:Fury is a useless lump who claims to be the greatest and hasn't fought anyone of not or even had a title shot.
Whatever he is, he's got people talking and he'll be a millionaire by the end of the year. Not bad for a 24-year-old kid.

I think he is a much more genuine person than Haye and I have been aware of both since their amatuer days.

I saw him at Khans debut in 2005 walking around with a t-shirt on emblazoned with "Tyson Fury Bejing 2008" all over it. He will have been 16 at the time.MachoMan09 wrote:Agree with Coco.
Tyson's on the cusp of a multi-million pound pay-day, his big mouth has played no small part in making this the case. He's been doing the spade work for years, he was on Channel M as a 17/18 year-old telling Barney what he'd do as a pro.

I would agree, though i don't know either person. Tyson is a nice kid or seems it to me, but that is not the person who appears on channel 5 or ifilm london is it. The guy that appears on the media is the pantomine vilain and it's that character that people will want to see floored.mickey1975 wrote:I think he is a much more genuine person than Haye and I have been aware of both since their amatuer days.

Nobody I know wants Haye to win! Most think he will though. I think Haye will get a shock at the backing Fury will get if its held in the north.Quixall wrote:I would agree, though i don't know either person. Yeah, Tyson is likeable in that most things he says are tongue in cheek. The guy can't help but break out into a smile. I like the guy, i just don't rate him very highly, but have been watching Haye longer and i would want him to win personally. Be a great build up and for however long it lasts it will be a scrap because Tyson doesn't hide and credit to him for that.mickey1975 wrote:Nobody I know wants Haye to win! Most think he will though. If it takes place I will probably root for Haye as I still believe he has the quality to beat a Klitchsko.
I like them both though so would be happy for Tyson if he won too. I think Fury is getting stopped though if it does happen, which I don't think it will unfortunately.

Haven't they made this fecking fight yet.
What's the purse split going to be..
Big ring or small ring.
Tiny ring may give Tyson a good chance to use his size to sap Haye into the later rounds or on the negative side it lets Haye find Fury's chin with less effort.
Timberrrrr..!!

I feel sorry for Haye in some respects. If he fought all the tomato cans out there, he'd be slated for it. There were only really three fights out there for him at HW and he's had two of them! The rest are just putting $$'s in the bank.MachoMan09 wrote:I'd be firmly in the Fury camp.
