Agreed, and all this shaking your head (your not hurting me styleeeee) and chatting all the way through got on me nerves a bit.

He's obviously talented but it was far from convincing and for all this chat about him being the big hitter etc well.....while everyone was talking about Paulie being feather fisted etc, Broner didn't exactly trouble paulie that much either!

All in all a disappointment i think from (is his own eyes) a future ATG

The ones where he landed the more "accurate punches with the knuckle part of the glove on the target area" as per the boxing rules. Walking forward and taking shot on the shoulders, arms and head then throwing yours isn't defensive boxing. No rolls, parries, slips or counters exposed Broner as nowhere near the finished article he thinks he is.

What you have said doesn't make sense. I would love to know how you scored the fight ? If you think that Broner landed no more than six punches a round, then you can't have been watching the same fight. Paulie threw a lot of punches, but most of them didn't land or got blocked. Broner's accuracy and success percentage was way higher than Paulie's. You can throw a lot of punches, but you have to land them to score. It's amazing what people see or want to see when they watch a fight.

Broner could hardly be bothered to defend for the second fight in a row. and the lack of activity/posturing was very poor at times he seemed to believe his own hype and thought he was going to blow Paulie out of there.
Credit to Paulie he played his part and almost nicked it due to Broner doing dick all and thinking just his presence in the ring would win him the fight.

for me the issue isn't whether it can be scored for malignaggi. but rather, that broner will have serious issues vs welterweights with more speed and power than paulie. because he's not being mobile, imaginative, energetic.

already broner's spoken of going down to 140 or 135 (doubt very much he can do 135 again).

he'll follow the money if it's at 147, though.

i didnt score the fight but the rounds looked close i should imagine the majority of people scoring it for paulie probably havent totted the rounds up because the 115-113 in broners favour looked about right to me based on just watching the fight. He was landing alot of shots, one thing i would say is it was a very poor performance by broner especially defensively he has no lateral or head movement and he should have certainly had at least 2 points deducted. Calzaghe lost a point for doing a backwards punch on lacy and i remember pac being docked a point for punching i think clottey with two fists at the same time and broner on two occasions threw backwards punches that was completely illegal.

I can understand why paulie feels hard done by the ref was was shocking.

I can only imagine what someone like Ricky Hatton would have done to broner, imo he needs to step back down a weight because someone like alexander would pull a calzaghe v lacy on him. I even think khan may well be the man for the job i wonder if ODLH would put them in the ring together.

I thought Khan might be a good fight but watching it again, I think there's no doubt that broner would time him and drop him. Khan jumping in and out would make for a highlight reel ko.

i didnt think Broner looked like he was landing very hard, paulie hardly had a mark on him. Having said that against khan.....

dont think broner won,paulie threw more punches and had the better game plan. i wouldnt like to be a judge but this one was easy to score,paulie threw more punches every round landed more punches every round was the champion and fighting in his home town. paulie is the most unluckiest fighter in the world

i had paulie winning the first four with more work rate and the middle rounds were nip and tuck,the last round was paulie's too imo,i havent watched it since sat night so i cant comment on how he won but i had paulie winning the fight,he kept busy through out the fight and only took a round or two out were he didnt throw that many shots
