If Gavin has done the training right, then i expect him to win on points, or maybe even an injury stoppage.
I like both boxers , think we are in for a good fight

Yep, 2 great British barnstormers in 2 nights, these are the type of fights I really miss since Sky canned Friday Fight Night, so here's hoping for more of them in the future.

Ps on a seperate note if Gavin does win tonight and looks good, how long do you reckon it will be before FW makes Hearn an offer to fight Brook? I can see that happening!

Whoever wins tonight should make a move for Brook, he's hardly set the USA on fire with the pullouts (not his fault) , but he needs a high profile fight to keep his ranking and the winner of tonight would get a world ranking with a couple of the bodies

Brook has to get past Jones and I'm not sure why the bout is set at above the welter limit and who that benefits.

Does seem late to me to be honest. Dont understand why they dont just have the main event of straight away like they used to on the sky friday night cards.

10.40 is a bit ridiculous for a domestic fight. Not just for me but for the people attending. unless it's being screened in the US, you expect to be out of the arena for 11 at the latest

Blimey Joe Murray is poor tonight, for a supposed top prospect.

Gavin is in a different league to Vassell really.
One is a good domestic fighter the other is a potentially euro class or better.
All things being equal Gavin wins easily

I can't see that at all; I'm expecting a really good bout, both bring a lot to the table and there'll be maybe a round or 2 in it.

The problem with Gavin is though that you never know which version of himself is gonna turn up! I genuinely think he's a special talent but weight issues and also it doesnt always seem to believe in himself has hindered him.

That was poor from Joe Murray, he really needs to get his career going, he's still not got going as a pro.

Lots of work for Arnie to do with Joe Murray after tonight, he looked a bit puffed after 4 rounds, timing was off, and loaded up to much.
A win is a win, but he's got to learn from tonight.

Not sure that Arnie will particularly improve Murray, he's nt really got a great track record so far when you look at people like Gavin/Bellew who've moved on from him and Heffron who got spanked by Vassell.

He seems a really decent lad and don't understand all the allusions to 'personal demons' and self doubt etc; what on earth went on? He can box for fun, world at his feet; I just don't understand people sometimes, did the pressure get to him?

To be fair those 2 moved to trainers closer to their homes for commuting and personal reasons; Heffron is a strong boxer but very basic and Denton is too much a craftsman to lose to smeone so straightforward.

It's a weird one huh! Some people are just more naturally confident than others though huh? It's just a part of someones character! You have people who shouldnt have any real reason to be really confident and yet they're completely full of themselves!
