Shouldnt he come to Liverpool as the challanger make it a good pay day up here for him?? Also would it be the best pay day for him available Derrys name is in the mix with the likes of Crolla, Mitchell, Rees and other fighters why travel to London for a name alot of "casual" boxing fans wont of heard of probably not on a big show were Derrys last 2 figths have been on big sky bills

Commey looks good, first noticed him when he battered the Badger, he threw in a few nice pivots and moves in there so he's obviously not just a Ghanaian banger with no finesse

They'd have to make a big loss because of the lack of a TV deal, Dave at least has the Coldwell boxing app and can work with Hearn to get the fight on Sky, meaning he can bid a lot more.

Even if this fight goes to purse bids that doesn't necessarily mean Derry defending his commonwealth against Commey is the best fight for him

Derrys been pro a long time and fought enough tough men to show he doesn't duck people but why defend his commonwealth against him in York hall if he can get a better pay day agains a bigger name on a bigger show

If the commey fight is he biggest purse he can get then by all means take it but I don't think it will be and for a promoter to say come and be a victim doesn't show much in the way of class if you ask me

Because if they win the purse, he will have to take the fight or relinquish . Not doubting his heart but if hes made to fight them and they win the purse bid then he might not have a choice

Or he could just vacate the title and fight a bigger name for a bigger purse on a bigger show

I have no doubt if the commey fight is the biggest fight that can be made Derry will take it but a big domestic fight gets offered to him on a bigger show that a big name means more than the cw title

I don't doubt that Derry is prepared to travel, I just don't think the Goodwin's can realistically win the purse bid.
