where does john murray fit in? isn't he coming back, with Anthony farnell as trainer?

methinks ppl are really overlooking crolla. after the Matthews TKO setback, we've seen an extra dimension from him. he's done the 12 rds twice now which must've been a help. we've seen him produce more boxing, rather than trying to break everyone down. he didn't quite get it right vs Matthews 2, a fair draw as I saw it. crolla didn't give derry any of the openings that derry took in the 1st fight. crolla also showed patience but maybe took too long to get going and didn't press his advantage when he was really flowing, late on.

then vs rees (who stopped Matthews), we saw crolla's boxing brain evolve to the next level (and his fights become slightly less exciting). we saw crolla refuse to give rees openings. we saw crolla trick rees - the veteran - onto short jabs and arcing right hands. we saw crolla set his feet and hook rees to the body, accurately. we saw crolla move well, take ring centre when he wanted it, & have rees off balance, stumbling and lunging. it was subtle control from crolla, who threw the better punches and looked the happier of the two. crolla had the dangerous, crafty rees trapped in a little box, from which rees threw off balance shots, whereas crolla punched always with his feet in position. the exchanges were tough, but crolla came off the better, after the slow start.

this is proof that joe Gallagher's aggressive fighters don't all fight the same way. that there is a plan B and that crolla's one of the most improved fighters out there. how would crolla fare vs this Italian EBU champ, emiliano marsili? reckon after a euro title crolla's ready for burns. a bold pick but one i'm prepared to stand by. I know few believe in crolla just yet, but I see continued development for the "million dollar" lad. obviously, against burns, you'd have to see the smart boxing from crolla, and ALSO the terrific offensive work (that we see only in spurts at the moment).

I don't think he could behave like Dobbs; it doesn't seem to be in his temperament or abiltiies; it's better to have someone who attempts to answer a polite question (Dobbs) rather than be rude (Nelson) but we're all different.
