I only thought about Jimmy Vincent today after seeing that Barnes is to box Frankie Gavin soon, hope he's alright, a good fighter.

Did you see his fight against Andreas Panayi over here? Panayi had been on a bit of a roll, and was tough , but looking at it now it was a calculated risk that back fired.

Lee Murtagh, granted he was never a journeyman but the way people were talking about him and made him out to be a journeyman fighter was insulting and I was ecstatic when he won the Irish light middleweight title and proved his critics wrong and having recently fought Hector Camacho junior in his first fight outside the UK and Camacho still outweighed him by more than 10lbs and the fight still went ahead now if Murtagh isn't deserving of being called a champion who is ?

Braddock was up and down wasn't he? Got a shot at the light heavyweight title in the late twenties as a promising contender, his career went down the pan and made a sensational comeback after believed to be washed up. Great story I think, not many people would get a second chance like that.

And? If this forum was on the go in those days, a few would have still insisted he was a journeyman!
