I think that Marquez will do the job that Barrera was expected to do, i see him Boxing clever and winning with his faster hands and skills, Pacquaio will have his moments but i see him being tamed. Although i lean towards a split decision with one of the judges favouring Pacquiao's come forward style.

On the undercard i think Cotto will stop N'dou around six rounds in.

I've done it!

I just bet 500 euro.

200 on Marquez by Decision (4/1)
200 on Marquez by KO (21/10)
and 100 on Arsenal to beat Portsmouth (4/5)

I know I'm going to lose 200 but I'll come out on top either way. :TU:

I am going to be a rich man. :TU:

nice. If i were you, i wouldn't of bet Marquez by decision. I would of jut bet for the KO, or a Pacquaio KO. I cant see this going 12.

arsenal to beat pompey...spot on!

is it a combined thing? or 3 seperate bets?

It's 3 seperate bets. Marquez can't win on points AND ko Pacman in the same fight! I was going to put it all on marquez by KO, but I'm not sure how Manny will react when Marquez hurts him. He might just go into a shell and last the distance. Plus, it's 4/1!

I'm going to be ducking and dodging the punches with Marquez at 9am on Sunday!

Real deal, i will think of you when I'm spending my hard earned winnings.

the only thing you'll be spending your winnings on is more bets. thats if you even win. i personally think Marquez will win, but not by decision, so you've already thrown away 200 euros.

do you actually have any fear at all when you make these bets? what is the maximum you would be willing to bet? eg, would you bet 10 000 on audley harrison on saturday, given that there's virtually no chance of an upset?

Disclaimer: I'm not trying to give you ideas.

The above picture reminds me a bit of the Barrera/Naz pre fight photos - on one hand you have the HBO and bookies favorite: A flashy power puncher, expecting an early sensational knockout, and smiling into the camera.
On the other hand you have the serious looking Mexican underdog. looking quetly confident, and no doubt planning to bring the other guy down to earth with a BUMP. :TU:

I don't have any fear at the moment b/c I have just about 20,000 in the bank to spend on whatever I want. I still live @ home so I have absolutely no expendature other than whatever I want to buy.

I'm considering a HUGE bet but it would have to be almost fool-proof for me to go through with it.

I am actually addicted to internet betting.

Put the 20K on De La Hoya to win in June - he can't lose......can he? :D

probably not but this is boxing, dont bet on him if fights hopkins for effs sake tho, oh and dont wish to worry you but Pacman bangs with either hand also (sorry you stated Marquyez having a two fisyted attack as an advantage normally yes but so does Manny), just cos he fights southpaw doesnt mean his right is any less dominanat than Marquez left. Trust me on this and have a look at some tapes mate! Pac can bang with the right too.
good luck tho i admire your balls, figuratively speaking of course.

any cash left..in the casino..u might impress some bird into thinking you really are loaded..then you might have more fun and games for free

Betting on a team that didn't even need to win? :o :o Not the smartest move I've ever heard of!

Finaly made up my mind on this fight - Marquez will win. He's bigger and a very clever counterpuncher. He's got power in both hands too.

Late round stopage derails the PacMan express. :TU:

Pac Man for me by decision. His heavy, quick fists and high workrate will more than match the tactical plan that Marquez will bring to the ring IMO.

Can't wait!

Interesting to hear Roach admitt it's not a fight he'd have taken for Manny.
The people behind Pac Man insisted on it though.

Imagine that, a fighter's promoter insisting his man face the best.

Are you listening Sports Network?

Probably not.

I think a safer fight for Pacquiao would have been Morales, who is definitely burning out if you ask me. But I still don't see Marquez handling that aggressive southpaw style too well.

This is a real tough 50/50 fight IMO. I'll be honest I'm getting splinters in my butt-cheeks on this one. :o

If I'm pushed to pick one I edge towards The Pacman though, just.

The Mexican Assasin is gonna win - I've seen it in the stars 8)

It's a bit strange when you look at the adulation Manny gets these days - he's being likened to an all time great by some. The game's next superstar.
But his only really big win was over Barrera.
Where was all this praise for, say Jr Jones, who beat a PEAK Barrera twice?

Don't get me wrong, Manny does have the making of a true star. But it seems mainly down to a very exciting, hard hitting style, a winning smile, great personality and the fact he's from a country where they don't have too many boxing stars.
But he's been knocked out three times ( even with the weight problems, that makes you wonder how durable he really is ).
I'd really like to see the guy win tomorrow, he's just what the sport needs.
And not afraid of taking the big fights.
Of course, he has an excellent chance of pulling it off. He's favorite at the bookies.
But I think the Mexican wins late.

Marquez for me.

I think the pacman leaves himself open, and Marquez will nail him with hard counters.

Marquez by a stoppage, dunno what round though :)
