re: the Haye Fury fight too, I'm not really a fan of the way Haye puts himself over so, as much as he can can talk some nonsense, I find Fury the FAR more likeable of the two, so I'd like to see him win. However I think Haye's athleticism and power means he won't get bullied and then gas, like Cunningham did and I don't think Fury's defence will be tight enough either. Fury needs to be at his best for 36 minutes with no mistakes to beat Haye, imo.

Wharton would be quite high up my list of people I wouldn't like to fight, I've read about him on here before and he sounds very tough, as well as a top bloke.
YouTube Henry, Ringside did a great price on him about ten years ago. I'm on it.. They did one, not as in depth, recently about his gym.

Londonirish is Martin, if that's what you mean. I presume you watched Argie as you are from that way. He is a Traveller too, as you will know. Fury has a lot of relations in Darlington, it will be very pro Fury up there.
John O'Donnel was going places at one time....saw him in Nottingham, he beat Stuart Elwell over the distance. Boxed very well that night but then got stopped in America, I think had had an injured ear...not heard much about him lately...

i think billy joe saunders is going to go on and represent the travelling community in what he does in the ring as a boxer p4p one of the best in the country already and a great future ahead but also the work he does on tv alongside john rawling very knowledgable also like peter mcdonagh for his effort and drive to test anybody starting out in the game

Martin, I had a drink with you in Newcastle at The Contender when I was with Henry's brother and you seemed to know all about him. We're you just being polite? As for traveller fighters, most I have known have started early and packed in early. Jesse(Danny) James, Levi Pattison, James Lowther, the Robshaw brothers... All very good kids. All trained in the same gym at one point too..

Hosea Burton is a great prospect. He's a huge light-heavy. I hope he's brought along right. The only thing I'm concerned about is his power. I'd say he's my favourite prospect in this country.
Tyson Fury is somebody who I think has the heart of a lion but I can't take to his style and don't rate him as highly as most. I don't like the clown act either. I can't see him lasting too long against Haye but you never know. I hope he makes a much better fist of it than I think he will.
Hughie Fury is more my cup of tea. He seems quieter than his cousin and looks like he could be mustard. I like the way he fights and would like to see him reach the very top.
I also rate Burton highly. Disagree about Gavin though, even though Wharton is a friend if mine. Think Frankie will be very hard to beat. He is a master boxer, really rate him. Will wait and see with Hughie, looks the part so far...

Henry Wharton is the highest achieving boxer from the uk from the romany gypsy background , didnt he hold the European and commonwealth titles for something like 7 years un contested ? a title i believe he never lost in the ring.
Good fighter and a true gent , i remember being at many a travellers dance when i was a kid and every gypsy girl was after him the ugly sod ..no body fcuked with henry ether

I was argie gym mate at the time and thought he was in with a chance against my good friend mr power but Martin was a class above that day Martin just showed why he was the champion

Cheers Mate Member when i came up to fight him as An Am on your club show but i had fought 2 days before over in Denmark and the ABA spotted it wouldn't let me fight.. We Had a Good night out tho

3 of the corcoran bros boxed pro, one still does called Gary , not much publicity about him so far but from what ive heard and seen this kid is going places.
I don't know of any sport other than boxing where travellers and non-travellers get together to support the sport with none of the ridiculous discrimination you see in other parts of society, it's really great to see.
Did that Paddy Doherty guy ever fight as a pro, and what about any of the Irish McDonagh or Ward families who are infamous for their bare knuckle bouts? Was Peter McDonagh from that same family?
