Cheers Bripez and Machoman does make sense now

He'd be better served investing money in a young promoter who wants to do something new. FWP got lazy in the mid 00's and now they offer nothing exciting at all.

Matchroom haven't being quite the saviours of boxing that people hoped they would be although to be fair they are infinitely more switched on then the Simon Cowell of boxing.

Both these are not new. Queensbury were actually the company who promoted the Cleverly v Kovalev bill and are the company who won the Saunders v Ryder bill. It isn't new that they are the promotional company rather than allegedly promotions or Sports network. Likewise Bill Ives had already contributed money to Allegedly Channel shows by Rainham steel being the (or one of the) main sponsor.

I see literally nothing new to come from yesterdays announcement apart from the news that Ives may be investing more money into all of this.

I'm sure I read news a month or so ago saying that Mr Ives through Rainham Steel were putting a lot of money into allegedly - didn't Rainham Steel used to sponsor Mark Delaney?

I think we can all see this for what it is. Would love to share the optimism of some but as has been rightly pointed out - this isn't news.

Does this impact Warrren trying to sue Ricky Burns? Not that I believe there's much of a case there!

By the time they get more live boxing on this channel - assuming there's none this weekend - it will have been almost a month without any live shows. That's appalling. If this is how the Home Of Boxing "does business" it'll soon be out of business. Times are tough for people and charging a tenner a month, and then not showing any live shows for almost a month, is just taking the pxss. Even more so when a press conference is launched talking things up.

Message to fwank - stop trying to compete in the PR stakes with Eddie/Sky, and buy some fxxking programming for your channel

If there is any dirt out there on anyone not connected with Froch's career, this kid will find it...

Papers always chuck this line in on a bullying/assault/misdemeanour story to try and paint bad character. Even if the person walked into a club once in his life. Ives maybe boxed for longer but always notice that.

It's the start of September, how many shows do you realistically expect in August? They had Cleverly-Kovalev and Pulev-Thompson. Can't remember if they had Mares-Gonzalez because I missed that one.

So Hearn/Sky are allowed to have press conference after press conference, but when Warren has one, he shouldn't try to compete with them

This is the inherent conflict of interest that FW faces. As a promoter he is responsible for putting on shows, so if there is nothing being broadcast, he is actually part of the problem. You can't defend the TV side of the business without criticising the promotional side of the business.

Everything slows down in August, Cleverly-Kovalev was the first world title fight in August on these shores for 11 years. Warren is cutting back on the number of shows, but is looking like he may make up for it by putting on good shows, like the Cleverly bill and the Copper Box in a couple of weeks.

But you can't defend a TV company that is being criticised for not broadcasting boxing when the guy that runs the TV company is one of the key suppliers of the product that is being broadcast. Simply using the line that there's normally no boxing in August works when you are just a Promoter, but if you are asking people to pay £10 a month to watch your channel, then questions over the lack of content are relevant.

There's a point there and there has always been a 'boxing season' - as has been mentioned there is very little boxing in August, there is very little over Christmas and the New Year; allegedly will never be perfect but we do get to see more boxing than if it weren't around; it is a tenner a month and there are more than enough decent bouts on (for me) to justify the cost - Sky Sports costs more and has less of what I like.

Just a quick question I am sure somebody could clear up.

Who would owe allegedly Promotions money? His fights are put on BN so you wouldn't think so unless its the scenario put above. I can't think any apart from that.

Just another failed FW promotional company it looks like. How many is that now?

There have been televised boxing shows around the world in august, BN just hasn't bought any.

For example, there is a Denmark show this weekend, being televised all over Europe, featuring Patrick Nielsen in the main event. BN televised his previous fight, also in Denmark. It doesn't mean sending in a TV crew to film something that otherwise wasn't being filmed, it means buying the rights and putting it on your dedicated boxing channel which you call "the home of boxing".

Its been several weeks between live shows on BN, which is poor. Just because there aren't any UK shows worthy of broadcast doesn't mean the channel can't pick up overseas shows. The shows are there....

Nielsen is not most riveting fighter to watch in terms of talent I dont believe. Maybe they dont believe he's worth the output.

Arreola v Mitchell this Saturday doesn't appear to have a UK broadcaster, unless I've missed something.
