Talk of a boxing cutting himself is utterly ridiculous. Particularly a cut that deep. Utterly ludicrous. He would potentially risk his entire career.

I believe maybe a better offer may have come in or maybe training wasn't as good as we're made to believe. However Buncey said something last night that made me suspicious about a better offer on the table. Take it as you will
Vitali isn't going to give him a payday any bigger than the one he was getting for Fury, the klits are notoriously tough negotiators.

There's a thread on Current Scene asking if it's a fake cut - done with horror make up :OhYes:

I don't think Haye would cut himself and do himself out of a couple of million quid unless there were a cast iron guarantee (there are non in professional sport) of a mega fight.
I don't believe Haye is driven by money now he has a few quid. I believe if an offer for either brother is on the table then he would take it and not risk fighting Fury. Most of Hayes sparring is filmed so I would like to see how this cut took place

I can understand some of your cynicism and follow your logic, Spiker but if Haye weren't motivated by money then why box? - it is a dangerous way to make money - also, if Haye weren't confident of beating Fury then how on earth would he have a chance against the similar sized but far more experienced, powerful and tougher Vitali? I do not think a Wlad rematch would sell to the public and a straight shot at the title after being inactive for such a time would not sit well with the ratings or boxing fans worldwide.

At the end of the day Haye probably has at the most two more fights in him and in his ideal world he would fight either brother and maybe earn less than a Fury fight. I think if this offer has a glimmer of hope which it probably does then Haye takes the fight. Haye has enough money and either kilt or even Povetkin looks better on Hayes resume. I think Haye deserves to be scrutinised about this as its happened to regularly and a fighter is only as good as his fan following and Hayes loosing all respect

It will be after Christmas that they can find a free spot in the MEN, so fair enough for them to move on.

Charr or Thompson would be good.

Charr also got messed about by Haye.

Bunce said 'We all know Haye won't fight Fury, Haye is after the winner of Wlad Vs Povetkin.

Wlad should give Fury the next shot. Freeze Haye out the division.

I can't imagine either brother being partial to doing Haye a favour (which is what it would be) and David had his shot at Wlad and I paid £15 to see it but can't remember any of it, not a second. I really think this cut is a genuine accident - has the Croatian kid spoken about it or has he been 'silenced'? No way in earth I'll shell for PPV for Haye v either brother, or Povotkin for that matter.

Surely the logical fights for haye now are arreola or stivern and for fury its the same.

Haye needs a high profile win or people arent going to even buy into a wlad rematch having any chance of being competitive.

Why not? Haye would spark him clean out. At least with Chisora he might have a chance. Though the recent version of Chisora is much different to the one who fought will added baggage of 3st flab and knackered after 2 rounds.

Fury is so overrated by some on this board. He is big, has some balls, is slow, lacks power and gets dropped by guys not noted as bangers and the fact some thinks he beats Haye is just priceless. He get's KO'd by Haye and would go life and death with this version of Chisora.

David Haye is the 2nd most overrated boxer in the world after Adrien Broner.

Fury was going to annihilate him.

Well we'll never know as long as they're going in a different direction will we? Can't see why they'd give up money like this Fury isn't getting it elsewhere.

If Haye is overrated, then what does that say about Fury? Haye annihilated an in-shape Chisora, whilst a demotivated Chisora who had just been turned over for a big money fight with Wlad, went the distance without ever being in trouble.

What is it you see in Fury precisely that has you so convinced he would beat Haye he lacks technique, power, and doesn't have a very good chin. Haye hasn't the best of beards, but he is technically far superior, and his power is in another timezone compared to Tyson Fury's. What does Fury have to trouble Haye, that Haye hasn't seen before?

That is one of the most imoronic statements I have read on this forum. People generally want more money however rich they get. Very few people say 'Oh I made plenty of money I think I don't want/need anymore'.

Rich people want to get richer - it's called ambition. Plus boxers retire early so their earning career is short so have to make as much money as they can while the sun shines.

Mayweather is obsessed with money and he's prob the richest athlete ever.

Yes, by that reasoning, Rupert Murdoch would have retired years ago. Rich people usually (thought not always), love making money. Haye doesn't strike me as the type to be living it low-key, he's always been a bit of a flash harry, and I'm sure he's spent quite a bit on the trappings of success.

Haye has awful stamina, an awful workrate, a weak chin and overrated power. Fury has underrated power, good stamina/workrate and he is bloody massive.

Fury would outwork Haye and stop him when he runs out of steam.

Horse, I, like you am a Fury fan. I bought my ticket for the fight and I was going to cheer him on. Did you have a ticket for the fight BTW?

Anyway, please explain to me one thing. If Fury is so awesome. How does he keep getting knocked down?

Fury is big, slow, lacks skill, lacks power, has a questionable chin and never 'annihilates' anyone and he is gonna start with Haye?

Luckily for him, this fight fell through because his unbeaten run was about to come to an abrupt stop.....by blast out. Haye knew that, too.

Fair play to fury this is what I wanted to hear now if haye doesnt play ball the haye haters will have something to substantiate their claims! But to me that sounds like the fight will be soon.
