C'mon mate, look at the figures for both fights. Look at how much he made from the UK PPVs alone for Wlad.

He doesn't have to go anywhere near Povetkin. Generally consensus is he is going to be well out of his depth this weekend and will get stopped. He won't be wanting to go back into his next [title] fight against someone like Haye who is dangerous. He will be looking for lowest risk type fight.

I went to the Wlad fight, and I wouldn't dream of going again. Many others will feel the same when it comes to the ppv. Haye's credibility will surely hit an all time low if Fury is proved correct and he doesn't box him. The casuals, especially, will turn on him. Everyone wants to see Haye-Fury.

He's not bothered about the hardcore fans, he's interested in getting Joe Public and the plebs to turn up or tune in.

I went to Paris for Mormeck and it cost me a fair bit. I had expensive seats for Enzo. I had tickets for the original Wlad fight that was cancelled. I went to Ruiz. I went to Audley FFS. I luckily didn't lose anything on the Fury fight as my mate holds the tickets but I'd be dubious about buying another lot of tickets if my mate wasn't able to already have them on debenture.

But that's what im saying, the general public wants to see Haye-Fury. The hardcore would probably prefer Vitali.

The general public are morons, they know nothing. They wouldn't care if he cancelled again and killed the Fury fight, they would latch onto whatever fight he was promoting next. Trust me.

I've probably had a dozen people ask me about Haye/Fury since it was cancelled that never, ever talk to me about boxing. It was the cut/cancellation that propelled it into the public's mind. They won't care about it in a few weeks.

It would be nice to get a poll that doesnt have a clear agenda from the OP.

Haye's been genuinely cut and fury hasnt signed the contract for the rescheduled fight, if on the slim chance povetkin wins on saturday haye would have to be an idiot not to jump at the chance to face him instead of fury. He can always have fury as his defence on the decent chance that he beats pov then its win win all round.

In reality is haye v fury even a competative fight, fury hasnt even won a european title and his opposition has been competative for him but most would consider fairly poor fighters. Im a relative fan of fury's but in reality he beat a "couldnt be arsed and fat" chisora for the british belt, ducked price, beat up an old shot martin rogan (who audley harrison completely battered in prize fighter) for the irish title and then got the win against steve cunningham who hasnt ever faced a genuine HW contender, oh and kevin johnson who tor hammer bullied and beat in prize fighter.

All those photos show to me is how truly awesome some of these private plastic surgeons are. Suturing used to be no more complicated than an introductory embroidery lesson. Not any more.

It's not just about what ppv can do here.. Think about Germany and America. Haye v Vitali is a massive fight one of the biggest fights in boxing!! Fury and Haye Would do great in the uk but not really anywhere else!! It's also for a World title which means bigger pay days

That's not why it's delayed till February.

The venue isn't free until the end of January, why they chose early February over the end of January I don't know.

It hasn't healed, it will have been professionally worked on, though.

America wont touch the heavyweights and certainty not on ppv , I know they did show haye v wlad over there but it wasn't ppv and the fight was poor so i cant see them getting excited about a haye v vitali fight. in Germany they love the klits but there is no ppv as far as I know. and I cant see haye getting a 50/50 split with vitali either, so for me it means the most financially viable option for haye is a fury fight.

HBO were screening the Fury fight and I think with Wlad, the deal was Haye kept the UK tv rights. I think Fury sells better here than Vitali.

The Americans have never really lost interest in Vitali like they have with Wlad. His fight with Charr was on HBO (albeit on tape delay due to Russian timings). Vitali vs Haye would be very different from Wlad vs Haye.

What a stupid question its clearly Valuev, and before you start a long list of degradation against the former WBA world title holder please note furys best win was the much lower ranked kevin johnson who had been beaten by Tor Hammer. Steve Cunningham has not actually got a recorded win against any ranked geniune HW and is himself ranked 25th on boxrec in the HW.

Tom, I think your doing a fantastic job in discrediting yourself with your incessant Haye bashing. You've made that point enough times, does it really need to said again and again?
