Yep, not exactly a small-hall show, more a white tie event. And a very worthwhile thing, the amount raised over the last 9 years has been very impressive.

Just pointing out that both FW and Matchroom are following a very similar approach at the moment.

White tie? He's certainly slowed them down a bit. Had a couple in Wallsall this year and I'm not sure if you class The Olympia as small hall. It's certainly not that big.

The Walsall bills were co-promotions I think. He used to do a fair few York Hall size venues, but that's dropped away. Maybe it's not financially viable without Sky-type money.

No chance it will be Helenius.

I'd add Artur Szpilka and Erkan Teper to the list of possibles. Both have nice looking records, are ranked by the EBU, will probably come relatively cheap, and will be easily beatable.

Can't see there being any chance of getting a Dimitrenko, Wach type opponent. Short notice and these guys just don't go out of continental Europe unless they are really forced to.

the Walsall shows were co-promoted with EJKO (Errol Johnsons Promotional outfit). But thats nothing new whenever Warren has done shows that size in the midlands its always been co-promoted like that (with PJ Rowson beforehand). Basically means the local promotions provide local lads for the undercard.
