So presumably his peak ended the minute Douglas smashed the crap out of him?
DON'T YOU GET IT MAN!? IT WAS THE BITCH'S FAULT!!!! THAT WASN'T MIKE IN THERE. The guy who knocked out the bums, the coke heads, the fatties, the oldies, and the light-heavy was UNFUCKINGBEATABLE. Cus, Teddy, Cayton, Jimmy Jacobs, Rooney, STEVE LOTT, he NEEDED those guys. He wasn't Mike without them. fornicate-DON-KING.orbtastic wrote:So presumably his peak ended the minute Douglas smashed the crap out of him?
Possibly the most dildonic post I've ever read on here!tallsdav wrote:tyson was massively over rated.
David haye would probably have done him.
Thanks mate. Tyson was still bang average.Hagler2002 wrote:Possibly the most dildonic post I've ever read on here!tallsdav wrote:tyson was massively over rated.

I totally disagree.loaded_gloves wrote:You've got to be kidding me?
I actually despair over boxrec.
For the record: Tyson wins by KO inside 30 seconds - his quickest, easiest win. While unconscious and twitching on the canvas, Wladimir's bowels loosen and he involuntarily shats himself.

There are no Tyson "haters". There are an awful lot of Tyson "nuthuggers" and zealots though. BTW I always have a slight chuckle whenever anyone talking about Holyfield vs Tyson slings allegations at Evander and only Evander. Put it this way, imagine what Joe Louis would've been like if he had access to the stuff that was available when Evander AND Mike were in their respective primes.the truth wrote:All they tyson haters come out to play , ffs listen a 21 year old tyson beats anyone in history quite easy, including a prime allegedly (juiced)holyfield excerpt Ali , watch the tapes of him man.
Agreed. I don't think I have ever heard anybody claim that though, so why make the statement?danconnollyeire wrote:Anyone who thinks Tyson was average is a joke.

The second Wlad reached out for a clinch = game over
Smith was a tough, tough man. Wlad? Not so much. Are you one of the ones who picked Wlad?Counter-puncher wrote:danconnollyeire wrote:He was a beast, people forget his speed mixed with power, Wlad's nightmare. Anyone who thinks Tyson was average is a joke

aye good point, Bonecrusher Smith tried initiating clinches and look where that got him, he soon paid for that error.
He did... by losing a one sided points decision, you're correct thereCounter-puncher wrote:danconnollyeire wrote:He was a beast, people forget his speed mixed with power, Wlad's nightmare. Anyone who thinks Tyson was average is a joke

Your argument makes no sense. Yes it is possible for anyone to clinch anyone. No, Wlad has no chin. Yes, Wlad is slow. Yes, prime Tyson was very fast and powerful...Counter-puncher wrote:sure, everybody who ever tried to clinch with Tyson got knocked out, it was near-impossible for a man with much longer arms to tie up the 5'10" short-armed Tyson.
His argument makes a lot of sense. Wlad is much bigger, and better, than men like Bonecrusher and Tony Tucker. Both men who Mike fought in his prime.danconnollyeire wrote:Your argument makes no sense. Yes it is possible for anyone to clinch anyone. No, Wlad has no chin. Yes, Wlad is slow. I think this is quite feasible - Wlad would have held on for dear life, either getting DQ'd or losing a wide decision. If he tried to actually win the fight rather than surviving, the fight would have been over the first time Mike landed a left hook, Mike was a great finisher, and no way would Wlad have survived once he was hurt.keithmoonhangover wrote:I think you've got it wrong fellas. If Manny Stewart is in his corner, then Wlad's plan would be to survive and take it into the later rounds. If Wlad comes out at the first bell and is trying to survive, then there's no reason what it couldn't become a clinch fest like the Bonecrusher fight. One thing a lot of people forget is that Tyson was not a great inside fighter. These are probably the same people that think Tyson was the master of the staredown. If Wlad's aim is survival, then it could well be Tyson by unanimous decision.
there's certainly a 'chasm' of one sort or anotherJ wrote:SARCASM DANNY SARCASM
now you mention it, that's a good point, I don't think I've ever seen anyone on the internet ever mention Tyson's speed and power. glad we had you around to keep us focussed on the less-than-obvious details.danconnollyeire wrote:He was a beast, people forget his speed mixed with power
