Naw exactly the fight Ronnie would want but Pavel Senkos knocked out James Tennyson last night. It won't really progress his career but if Tommy is really struggling to get Clark an opponent then am sure Senkos would take a fight no probs. not a good fight but still better than doing exhibition.

Not a great fight but stopping senkvous wud b a statement (I believe he only been stopped on cuts despite losing 60+ fights. Ronnie wud win on points for me shutout if this fight happens.

Please stop giving ideas like this!! Hope Tommy doesn't read this lol. I have been to everyone of Ronnie's fights I struggle to justify going to this one if I'm totally honest. I would rather no fight.. No disrespect to senkovs but Ronnie is beyond this level 2 years ago. Hooper, Kay's, Jupp or any of the champions is where he should be fighting. Can't see a decent name now with only 3 weeks remaining..

U ay gunna get hooper kays or a champion at 3 weeks notice mate and ronnie hasn't got a victory of note to to justify a major title shot.

In fairness most people believe he has beat everyone so far.. He's high enough in the rankings to be considered for either commonwealth or British... Yes that's the point I make about 3 weeks now. I could come here and hype up whoever he will be fighting but I'm not like that. He needs moved on. We will see what happens

Fair point but lads he needs to b in with will want more than 3 weeks notice. He must b very frustrated but the fights r out their if his manager does his job guessing the 16th will b not at the level he wants but after that he needs a good chat with his manager about where his career is going.

Realistically, he's going to have to leave Scotland for the big fights, Buckland, Smith, Sykes, Walsh and even Hooper and Kays have no reason to travel to Scotland.

You can add Troy James and Chris Male to list too winner of there eliminator won't need to travel to Scotland either

David, as I said its not a great fight but it's a fight. You said you wouldn't go but am 100% sure if you asked Ronnie what he wanted to do, box a journeyman that's just had a good result or not box again until tommy Gilmours dinner show in January am sure he'd want to box in a couple of weeks. I do belueve that Ronnie is way ahead of senkovs but then again so was James Tennyson until last night. I hope they get him a opponent better than pavel but it's always a option if tommy can't get anyone.

Of course he would want to fight and I spoke to him last night and Senkovs was mentioned!! I said my opinion on that fight.. I won't hype a fight unless I believe in it whether it's my brother or not and this fight is not beneficial for anyone apart from a little pay day.. The points above are valid and why fight a Risky fight in Scotland when there is perceived easier fights at home or close to home..

Its frustrating because i would fight anyone at 3 weeks notice! Actually i don't think i have had an opponent ever confirmed at 3 weeks notice since i turned pro at boxing!!! The fight game is a big joke in Britain :( What do the BBBofC actually get paid for?!? :(

I don't think the board can be blamed, it's not their job to find opponents for fighters.

X2 I agree with this Ronnie should discuss the situation with his manager coz after all said and done any fight can be made if the money is right

People keep saying this about money. I have been involved and offered fighters their biggest paydays to fight Ronnie and that's been refused. I disagree with Blaming the board and agree to a certain extent it's down to the manager. What can a manager do if it's the trainers who are refusing the fights. I feel that the board should enforce fights through the matchmakers. Prospects should fight each other especially after 10 fights. Too many protected fighters out there they can't all be Champions. Fight each other a loss may make them a better fighter. All of Ronnie's managers have had the same problem he is very hard to get anyone to fight him. I think this will be the same until he's made mandatory for a title then we will see what happens.

Sold 100 in 2 weeks 85 miles from where he stays so quite a decent seller not that it really matters. Problem is getting fights

It would if he was fighting in Dundee. Ronnie can sell plenty of tickets like I said that isn't the problem. If he was to fight in Dundee he would do anywhere between 3-500 tickets depending on the notice. Glasgow,Aberdeen or Edinburgh about 100. He sold 100 for his last scheduled fight in Motherwell. They couldn't get an opponent. He has said he will fight anyone at Super Feather with 3 weeks notice maybe someone will step forward

See Davie thats were the problem may be!!!! What right have you got offering fighters fights? YOUR NOT A MANAGER!!! and if you were you'd know another manager cant speak to you regarding opponents for that reason, maybe you should look up the term manager and allow whoever Ronnies manager is to manage afterall thats what THEY get paid for.
With the fullest of repect it doesnt matter one jot what you think, boxing is boxing and things like this happen, god forbid but if Ronnie were to lose his next two fights i wonder if youd be so keen to have changes?

Wat fighters hav turned ronnie down and how do know wat they hav earnt in other fights the board r making and accepting eliminators or title fights that are 50-50 fights (ie hooper v kays male v james) so the board r making the fights. His manger needs to pull his finger out or get ronnie on the road as the away fighter to get the fights he wants

If somebody is selling between 3 and 500 tickets say at £30 each matches can be made perhaps Ronnie is asking for too much money but whatever If somebody selling that amount of tickets carnt get fights its not the boards fault is it at the end of the day Ronnie employs a manager to look after his interests and get fights for him

I'm guessing you have a problem reading. Of course I can't offer anyone fights but I was involved in helping Tony and was there when numerous fights were offered. As for what I said in another thread I will spell it out for you.. Ronnie sold 100 tickets.. Towell sold 60 that's 160 folk from Dundee or supporters of each fighter. Is that simple enough or is the math too hard? As for losing his next 2 fights if they were meaningful and at the right level I'm sure he would learn a lot and move on from it. Ronnie isn't here to protect his "0". I'm also confident he won't get beat. Billy how did you get on getting him fights what happened at Dalziel Park. You need to remember the conversations you have before coming on and saying the opposite. You are really bothered that Ronnie choose not to train with you or sign with Morrison! The truth is you know just how good he is, can be so you try and put him down at every chance. In the past I have defended you told Ronnie to train with you, that your the best trainer in Scotland. Sometimes your just plain wrong about someone and I wouldn't trust you as far as I could throw you.(that's not very far) As for Maley I'm not keen to disclose names of all the fighters it's not the right thing to do, it's not the fighters saying no it's their managers/trainers. Sometimes the fighters wouldn't even know it was offered.
