Everyone mentioning tax, how much extra would he have to pay if the fight was in U.K compared to Vegas?
I thinj the main issue relating to tax is that uk tax law will mean mayweather will have to pay tax here on all his earnings that year. Its why Bolt won't race here unless the meet is exempt ie olympics/anniversary games.Wa1nuts wrote:Everyone mentioning tax, how much extra would he have to pay if the fight was in U.K compared to Vegas?
Not sure that's true; however it does mean he gets clobbered for 50% tax on everything gained from the event. Probably £20m plus for him. That will sting a bit...freddydoesdallas wrote:I thinj the main issue relating to tax is that uk tax law will mean mayweather will have to pay tax here on all his earnings that year.
