Have you seen the Khan fight or are you going on what Paul told you? He never, by any description, "put up a good fight"!

I thought the fight was a bit harsh as it was undoubted Paul's 'big shot' but he was being beat well by Khan, who was heading towards a late stoppage IMO. It was a fight that should never have been made in the first place (although there's much worse defenses).

I never got the whole, McCloskey was holding out for a late surge. He's not a big puncher and Khan doesn't lack fitness

Curtis is a legend haha, hes spot on though surely a warm up fight hed fit the bill, isnt coming to be bowled over. In truth McCloskey should be levels above Curtis and has a bit more about his game but Curtis can bang and is game as they come. Im not keen on McCloskey myself.Was an arrogant asshole after the khan fight when in truth he was terrible.

I choose to go down the route of A best out of three game of rock, paper, scissors to settle my disputes, If that fails then I guess it just has to be a tear up.

'It's not a tickling contest' as Ricky once said but you could go down that route - it would be funnier and a lot less painful.

McCloskey was bemoaning the fact he hasn't fought in ages, he's a Hearn fighter so why not??

Fair play to Curtis playing to his strengths his ability to talk gets him into fights without being disrespectful he hasn't really done anything to deserve, I hope he gets this shot I see Mcloskey out pointing him widely but always a chance Curtis can hurt him and he has been much more active than Paul , much worse comeback fights out there!

I think Curtis can hurt him aswell. I dont think Mccloskey has got the best chin in the world.

I think Curtis is abit of a crank ha!

He got hit hard in his last fight & made him worse!

I understand Curtis wants to be in meaningful matches but he needs some moderate opposition & get his game back together.
I think Curtis needs to see that Samuel.L.Jackson speech on pride.

in the good old days fighters just wanted to fight, win or lose they just wanted to get in and show what they had, them days have gone, now everybody has a legacy and wants to be put in fights they know they have a 90% chance of winning, too many superstars not enough old school fighters, im a fighter, I just wanna fight, and if I lose then so be it, shhit happens

Anybody saying your a footballer not a fighter is out of order. You've proved yourself in the hardest sport of all. I was a doubter at the start (cos I don't like football probably) but am a big fan now. I thought you nicked it against Gavin and so did two of three mates who watched it with me. I hope you get a chance to put it on Dudey, we will be rooting for you.

It is a commendable way of going about things and it's rare for anything to be personal in a professional sport; you are respected partly because you wear your heart on your sleeve and the boxers that view the sport as a way of improving their (financial) position have to keep their personal feelings out of things and do not want a catastrophic loss on their record where they are back to the drawing board. You've done very well getting to a decent level after being a footballer but being a footballer put you in a financial position that very few boxers are in.

Would be interesting to see it after the beef, but I think Curtis you should be rebuilding and having fights for your own career and development as a boxer who is still learning, I think McCloskey is at a higher level and I don't think another KO defeat would really do you any good, even with your commendable attitude of just wanting to fight. Rebuild, keep getting better, keep working towards the British title goal, that's my opinion anyways!
