I don't think that Billy implied that being a journeyman was easy and it has to be conceded that if a boxer is attempting to force the issue and press the opponent then they are going to walk into hard punches; if the primary objective is going the distance rather than winning then you can go into a shell or get through.

(I'd not last half a minute and don't imagine it's at all easy but an ambitious and attack minded boxer is open to hard punches coming back).

We get loads of new pro's taking to the ranks & they have to sell tickets & win, they get plenty of notice & training & get built up on journeymen or rarely other ticket sellers, it's no given they will last more then two seasons. They don't get served up to a Bradley Saunders,Campbell or Joshua & there's no telling they'd ever be capable to do so & if they fail to become a championship fighter they might not be tough enough to turn up & mess good kids around & fiddle there way through its a talent on its own
