Floyd certainly doesn't have to move up to Middleweight, but he is bigger than Duran.

Split the difference at 145 and tell me what happens.

Duran spent more of his career at 135 than Floyd spent at 130 and 135. And he's shorter with a shorter reach. Duran's skillset is sometimes underrated. You say he would outbox Duran no trouble. Duran had enough skills to box Hagler to a decision.

Just because Duran fought successfully at 160 and Mayweather possibly couldn't doesn't mean that Duran is better than Mayweather.
It means he could fight at a higher weight division, that's all.
When matched mano-a-mano at welter, Mayweather wins.

Sergey Kovalev can compete well at 175. Does that make him superior to Duran? He probably would have beaten Duran at 175, but he's certainly not the better fighter.

So if Floyd couldn't beat a MMH at 160 and Duran came close, it only demonstrates that Duran is more adept at handling higher weight, not that he's more talented than Mayweather.

You have me confused with Senor. He's a bit more bullish than me.

I think PBF has the stuff to win a decision and he would be at worst even money on the books.

PBF is no joke. He is one of the most fundamentally sound fighters of any era and always shows up to work.

The question was asked who did Duran beat that Mayweather couldn't. Duran didn't win but had an impressive performance against Hagler, someone Floyd couldn't hang with.

And it's not like Hagler is as big as today's middleweights. He probably weighed less in the ring than Canelo.

He definitely weighed less in the ring than Canelo.

:TU:

He definitely wasn't a big middle by today's standards. 5'9 160 same day weigh in. Maybe 165 at most in the ring. That's around the size of Ortiz or Oscar at 154.

Thatone....are you having a laugh at some folks expense?.....I suspect you were kidding.....was I the only one who got the joke?

Since ol' Floyd would never need anyone to come down to his weight...right?
