Gomez. BACS is not doing anything, you can easily provide a bullshiit account. I suggest a Bankers Draft. PM me and we can arrange the finance to be in place.

I want proof you have £5K in your bank account. All I ask is the opportunity to win back the £5K in the unlikely event that you win. Agreed?
No, the mod takes both 5k's and holds it until the fight is over, then they distribute the 10k to the winner.

Bank transfer (BACS) , this is not 1998 where drafts were king. Or is this going to be your 'excuse' not to back your mouth up ?

Like I said, no need for PM's

Post up your account here, and I shall do the same.

Proving the money is there is completely irrelevant to the discussion. The proof is in the fact that the middleman can verifiy they have been sent it.

Or do you really think that one will honour the other after the fight? and until then will sit on their own money ? i sense your full of crap.

I'll be the middleman. Wow this thread got interesting, there's no way I'd bet £5k on anything though.

For me, Groves is gona do what he did vs DeGale, spoil spoil spoil, Froch will have some trouble early as groves is quite adept at spoiling and will be quick early.

However, I do believe that once Froch connects it will be curtains for the young pretender Groves, who has nothing on his record to suggest he's up to this and the worrying previous knockdowns in both ams and pros would suggest, rather like David Price, that he will come unstuck now he's stepping up to proper world level opponents with real power. I still wouldn't bet £5k on it.

He is a massive troll. And currently using his latest username which Gomez alluded to earlier.

He's also a complete plank if "bragging rights" are worth £15k to him.

I'm just playing the game.

When someone suddenly makes a counter-bet like that, it's not a genuine sensible move, but someone who is slightly immature and puffing their chest out with zero intention of backing up their boastful rants.

The real point of this is. Gomez does not have £5k.
Thanks for your kind words.
The real point is, get yourself to the bookies and you will get a much better price.

It would be interesting if there was an escrow forum for challenges like this. I doubt the mods will escrow but I could be wrong??

Anyway, Froch walks through Groves in about six rounds. I expect Groves to hit the deck a couple of times. I'm excited as this completes a very nice accumulator for me, and then Haye rounds 1-6 in Feb completes another much bigger one.

This is all getting a bit Haye v Audley. We know what happened there after people bought into the hype. Froch wins this easy

Yes there's only one Audley alright  But this hype surrounding it (obv have to get people excited to shell out for a PPV, simple business sense) for what will turn into a one-sided beat down

Firstly I don't agree that this fight is on PPV

However, I will be buying it as I think it is a 'good' match up

I will definetly be putting a cheeky £20 on Groves to prevail, as I think he has the skills to adapt and be clever

I think Groves will make Froch look silly in this fight.

I think Groves has a legit shot at an upset. Why would they put him in there with Froch if they didn't believe he could win? Groves has real talent, but we obviously don't know how he'll deal with adversity. I do think Groves can hurt Froch though. He does hold his hands low, but Froch hold's his hands equally as low. But Groves has a more fluid overall boxing ability from a technical standpoint. He is able to do things more smoothly than Froch, and I think that could be the difference. Froch is good, but he is awkward in his movements and that makes him more susceptible to getting caught. Groves is essentially better technically. I think Groves' punch selection could be the difference in this fight. The way he's able to set up his combos could be the difference.

This is a bit Billy Big Bananas; I think it'll be a good fight and I think Groves will win and I'll bet £10 at the bookies; you lot may have more money than me but I'm much better looking with a marvelous set of gnashers; if I were the richest man in England I'd not bet £5,000 on a fight, surely it'd make an enjoyable pastime horribly stressful?

Amazed at how everyone has written Groves off. His performance against Glen Johnson was far better than what Froch did and it wasn't that long after he fought Froch.

Groves is too smart to go in and fight the way Froch wants to. Groves loves fighting and I think I heard Booth say once that Groves doesn't get nervous at all, he is a freak and loves the whole build up and just gets excited rather than nervous.

This is going to points one way or another.....in fact I've just decided Groves is my favourite Ginger athlete.

Glen's performances dropped off pretty severely after the Froch fight. He didn't have much left at all by the time Groves got to him and he still gave George all he could handle in the early running.

His performances had dropped off, but to say he gave Groves all he could handle is ridiculous, Groves won every round with ease, Johnson was a punchbag.

To be fair though, Johnson had retired and relaxed and then took up on an offer to face Groves; his heart wasn't in it, it was plain to see. Groves is good though, he looks like a light heavy and hits hard - if he's got into Frochs' head then this is a tough bout for Carl.
