Great response Curtis, but no need to have to justify yourself at all to the OP who is clearly an attention seeker. Unfortunately with all forums, if a well known person comes on, you have a queue of anonymous keyboard warriors wanting to bait them in order to give their own pathetic lives some sort of meaning. Is the OP a world class operator in whatever his does on a day to day basis? And if he isn't, does that mean he should quit and try to find something else he's world class at?

Keep up the hard work and would be fantastic to see you land a British title some day.

99.9% of boxers will never become a world champion. Without people like Curtis doing the grass roots scene, there would be no elite boxing.

Look Curtis, I have a right to be a critic. You're a world class athlete but not a very good boxer in my opinion. I've bought tickets to see your fights live twice and I feel it's my right as a consumer of boxing to state my "opinion".

I'm not challenging you nor am I insulting you directly. I respect you for getting inside the ring and fighting. I just can't see why an "athlete" of your stature would continue to be mediocre.

There's a big difference between kicking a ball and punching someone in the face, the skills aren't exactly transferrable, yes Curtis is an excellent athlete, but the same could be said for Mo Farah, would he make a good boxer?

If you dont appreciate Curtis then you don't really appreciate boxing. Here is a man that moved away from a comfy and comparatively safe and lucrative career to try his hand at something he really wanted to do and made a success of it.

He is willing to fight anyone he is humble honest but will have a go.

Gordon surly its up to me what I do with my life? im a good athlete yes and ive been fortunate to have had a good football career but I wanted to try my hand at something else, id always been a boxing fan like yourself but I wanted to see if I could do it for real, I love my sport and have never given anything other than 100% in every fight ive ever had, and ive been in some very good scraps along they way, if anything ive overachieved in boxing with the talent ive got, becoming the champion of England, don't feel bad for me pal im loving every second of it, my other option was to carry on picking up thousands of pounds a week in a job I had zero love for, ive lost a few and ill lose a few more along the way but if you buy a ticket to watch me fight I can always promise ill give every ounce ive got win lose or draw, don't judge me just sit back and enjoy the ride pal, lifes too short

ha ha shut it peggy!! I did hate football for a long time but now my son plays and im back involved coaching at non league level, I enjoy it a lot more now its not my life, I very rarely watch it on the t.v but I no longer hate the game, can enjoy more as a fan than as a job

let me tell you this,son,journeymen are more important than the world champions of boxing,these guys give the future area,english,british,european and world champions the lessons they need to learn to get to were they wanna be in this sport. also curtis is not a journeyman he is a fighter trying his best to achieve his dream. imagine someone telling you that you were shit at your job or shit at signing on?
