Mendy was dropped in the first by Sakio Bika though, but he hit him while he was down, knocked him out and got disqualified, so he'd been done before, like Bute, but got away with it. Froch walks onto punches and his head has a tendency of ending up over or past his front foot when he throws, which doesn't help and eventually his chin will crack, he's been in a lot of wars. If Groves hits Froch with the right hand he hit Smith with, Froch is on the deck.

Im not convinced mate. Dont get me wrong, noone is indestructible.... Margarito and Andrade showed that in the end but Bute hit Froch with some really heavy shots that just bounced off him and the same goes with Kessler on the whole who managed to buzz carl momentarily a couple of times.

Kessler hurt Froch in the 11th, caught him with a right hand and followed up with numerous more big shots without reply, if that was earlier in the fight, he might have been able to really pour it on. Froch is 36 and is years past his physical prime unless he's started training harder towards the end of his career which I highly doubt because he's always lived the life and eventually after a lot of tough fights, the body will give in, might not be against Groves, but that time will come. Bute's problem was that he was on the back foot and Froch was swarming him so he couldn't plant his feet, without that his punches lost the sting, he wasn't used to being put in reverse gear like that and didn't know how to deal with it.

You make some valid points. The knockout Bute had over Miranda with the uppercut was going backwards though.
