Dunne had foolishly suggested in front of the TV cameras that Bugner lacked courage and that at least he (Dunne) had actually tried to win rather than just going the distance.

This seemed to genuinely anger the normally placid Bugner and added an interesting 'edge' to what was already an eagerly anticipated showdown.

Were there any "clues" as to more Ali "complications" or "deficits" revealed within that short bit of film?

I have been known to miss a few without having them pointed out to me.

I never doubted Dunn s courage and most people would have agreed with his pre match comments on Bugner . Everyone knew Bugner was the better boxer , he did go 15 with Aii and Frazier (ok I don't think he hit either of them) but who else can say they did that ?

Bugner shook Joe to his boots at Earls Court in 1973. It was a very good performance by Joe B.
Dunn was a good fighter with a not-so-great chin.

Ok ! my memory of the Joe B and Joe F fight is not great ( will have to watch it again ) but you know what I mean , Bugner could have gone much further !

If Frazier had a mind to, he could have ended things right then and there.

Yeah thats right. It was a decent fight and Bugner put up a good display. Frazier's chin was his weakest point and he didn't have many. . My third favourite fighter of all times.
