Danny has said the fight is still on.......said hes getting a years salary in one fight. Said he moving back to cruiser after this. I did see the hearn tweet tho so I am not sure what's happening. Imo its a fight that should not happen so I hope hearn is right.
Id love to know who put this on! It wasnt ever confirmed but I was offered the fight. As is happened, it fell through. But the negotiations were in place. But my lord, its a surprise to see what rubbish people talk about boxing. End of the day, Im a boxer, and I will fight anyone who I believe i can compete against, and also who I could protect myself against. Isn't that what boxing is meant to be about? Competing? Danny Fleary.
About competing in a competitive nature though. This fight would of been dangerous for you as it was t competitive. Iv no doubt you would take the fight and give it your all but that's where promoters need to step in and match fighters properly

Yeah Black Panther, I can see your point, however, at that time, i'd just fought at heavyweight in blackpool against Paul Drago, who is 4-0 and I put a good shift in but lost on points, which is why i was considered for the Joshua fight, as I made a good account of myself. I must have done something right on that show, as to be mentioned in the same sentence as Joshua is an honour!
Thanks for the comment regarding my fight on Saturday, again, its going to be one hell of a challenge for me, but I thrive on challenges, and with it being a matchroom event, its going to be amazing just to be there. Get to mingle with some world class boxers! I hope I do myself, and Darlington proud!
Its just funny how rio is he is speaking as tho he knows, taking things off my Facebook page which is PRIVATE, so its obviously someone on my friends list.
To rio, if you knew about boxing you would know Chris Burton and Carl Wilson aren't active boxers. No doubt they would defo have a go at Joshua, but tha'ts kind of disrespectful to write off my chances. Also, rio, can I just ask how you have such a VAST knowledge of professional boxing? Have you been a pro? Trained as a pro? Sparred as a pro? If you have done, surely you would know that at the age of 31, if you love the sport of boxing, you would take any opportunities which come your way which A. could open doors for other opportunities, and B. could make you good money. I'm not an armchair boxing fan, Im a lad who wants to achieve in life and be successful and take risks. You get nowhere in life playing safe. We obviously made from different stuff mate, because I love a challenge, and apart from skill, HEART is a massive tool to have in ya locker in boxing which I defo have.
Anyway, respect for your opinions on this matter. It's opened my eyes massively on how fast news travels ha! jeeeez!!

Was just giving my opinion from a fans point of view that it was a bad fight defo was not trying to disrespect you. I can see why you would take it however 1-1 cruiser should not be taking on joshua. Why not drago the guy who beat you? Anyway it worked out in your favour you have a much better chance of winning on saturday, I will be there and I wish you look. Always like to see darlo boxers do well. Good luck and hope you knock him out and meke a name for yourself at cruiser!

Did anyone see the Cruiserweight fight?
Gutted it wasn't televised?
How did Danny shape up against the prospect

You're right, Ben is Anthony's cousin, and the man who AJ into boxing. Very good amateur was Ben but only managed a draw last night.

Yo people...
Yeah was a good fight. I think Ileyemi was trying to knock me out early doors and come in heavy but in the end i could see his punches coming and I avoided a lot of his big shots. He caught me top of the head 2nd round and that rocked me big style, and he popped my nose in the 3rd round, but apart from that I was never troubled by him, although he is without a doubt THE biggest puncher ive ever faced, including lads ive sparred with. I dont feel like i boxed my best, and he wont think he boxed his best, but I reckon you will see a lot more of him, as his power will be too much for many to handle. He maybe needed to fake a few shots rather than loading up but I respect him to bits now ive actually faced him. I was told by a few people there that they thought i'd nicked the fight, and one man said he thought I was two rounds up! But nevertheless, Ileyemi has immense power - he's only 26 too so loads of time to work on stuff - I hope he does well - He carries a lot of pressure on his shoulders being AJ's cousin, so I think I caused a bit of an upset, but I am sure he will come back stronger.
Fight may be on Ringside tomorrow all being well, as Id like to see it too! Cheers, Danny Fleary.

If I'm honest yeah I think he beat me although it was close mind. I had 4 days to prepare so I think I did well considering. But if it had been 6 rounds i think id av won. I started slowly and finished strong. I strongly believe if I was fit id av won. But take nothing from drago. He did what he had to do.
