Surprised Arreola being regarded as such a threat. I've never thought much of him. The victory over Seth Mitchell was probably a career highlight and Mitchell is pretty poor. All his other wins of note are against guys outside the top 30. Adamek dealt with him pretty well and Stiverne hardly lost a round to him. The only big fighter he's seen off is McCline and he was shot to pieces. He would have a chance of a home run right hand in the first 2 against Fury but outside of that I would expect him to be dealt with pretty easily. I'd fancy Chisora to do a number on Arreola to.

From where I see it, he has 3 options (assuming he stays with Hennessy):

1. Go back to Channel 5 level - a 3rd tier fighter in a small venue
2. Go to America and build on the Cunningham win
3. Chisora rematch

I think Fury is going to be disappointed that he cant get a PPV date without haye or a world title on the line and even with a world title he may not be a big enough draw at the moment to get a ppv date. He should look to get a fight against chisora or charr on channel 5 then see whats happening in the HW landscape after that as the vacant WBA may then be up for grabs.

Arreola is a name but as you say he's not a high calibre fighter, if he came to england it would be a great fight for tyson to up his profile but he wont.

wait a minute isnt Audley Harrison looking for an opponent - all jokes aside that would probably do good figures on channel 5.

Can't see C5 having the budget for Chisora or Charr. Admittedly, Fury-Chisora I was on there but it was when they had a much lower profile. Plus it was a purse bid that forced the fight - Hennessy probably lost money on it but saw it as an investment to win a TV deal. Look at the subsequent opposition he fought - dreadful. If Fury-Chisora II happened (a definite possibility) it would be on BN.

You're right about Sky PPV though - no way does Fury get a date with them unless he fights a Klitschko.

His best options would be the Chisora rematch on BN or going back to the States (C5 would pick up the international broadcast on the cheap). Adamek would probably be the most viable, high quality opponent.

Yeah i think your right but adamek has been poor since his fight with vitali he's just not got it anymore its a predictable fight fury wins fairly easily imo. Casual fans may be impressed but i think most proper fans will be hoping its someone else.

Tony Thompson is the best choice for Fury right now with less risk than fighting Pulev. Wilder will not fight him now. A win over Thompson propels him into an immediate title shot IMO

He should fight and destory Luis Ortiz and then have a crack at the WBA, seems like the fast track and best option to me. How Ortiz is no 1 contender is a fornicating mystery

I can see it being Thompson - it is a big fight for the UK, and Thompson wasn't disgraced in Germany.

Plus, in terms of Tyson's development, it is a sensible match up. That is, if you put aside the hype, the crap-talk and bullsxxt, and just think about his development, facing gradually better fighters each time.

I think he needs to just kiss goodbye to the millions on offer for one fight with Haye, and resume his career plan, thinking for the medium and long term. The only short term considerations are that he needs a fight to get back into action, and he needs to get some momentum going too. That doesn't mean it has to be a top five heavyweight in the other corner. Last time Fury fought, a cruiserweight decked him. He still has to learn his job.

Fury has just lost a HUGE amount of money. No matter who he fights ,and for what reason, it'll never make up for what he's lost.

The ONLY big money fight in the UK is against David Price regardless of how he lost his last two. The Klitschko's are off the radar in the immediate future. SKY also have lost a huge packet of money.

If SKY can build up Groves to be a realistic challenger to Froch , they can re-build Price before the spring. They just need to get a win in January against someone like Jonathan Banks etc.

So I'll go for Fury v Price in April in a sell out at the MEN with SKY winning the rights to show the fight and trying their damndest to make it PPV ( which it isn't!!)

Fury-Chisora II would be a big seller as well. And it's far more realistic that Fury-Price at this point.

Doubt Price's new backers would allow that. Doubt Price would want it. He said he would like at least one warm up before Chisora. I see Price taking a year and 3-4 fights before taking on really big names. At least thats what they should do if they want him to actually have a future. Pitching him with Fury or Chisora now would be throwing him to the wolves. Could see there being some public interest but only a fraction of what there was. I can only see Fury pursuing the Thompson / Adamek route.
