I think Kovalev has a tough fight on his hands aswell. Silakh whilst knocked out by Grachev is a fast, skillful, hard punching, counter puncher. I dont think that will be a walk in the park for Kovalev. The only issue is that Sillakh doesnt appear to have the greatest chin which against Kovalev isnt great.

Agreed - Kovalev won't have it all his own way but despite Silakh carrying some decent skills and power I think Kovalev stops him.

If Bellew beats Stevenson could you really see him wanting to get in the same ring as Kovalev - The guy posseses some serious knock out power - He would most certainly out bomb the bomber

Never mind Kov, it looks like Stevenson hits even harder than the Russian. Kov bludgeons them to the canvas, with his bone crunchingly heavy shots, but Adonis seems to have the gift of a real lights out knock out artist - when he lands that left hook just right, it looks like an electric shock has transmitted down his arm, and they are OUT before they hit the canvas.

But like maybe 80% of huge punchers, his chin might be his Achilles spot. 95% Superman, 5% Clark Kent.

Well certainly no surprise if Stevenson gets another win, but do feel Bellew can do this. He can outbox Stevenson and he's no lightweight when it comes to throwing and taking shots himself. Also wouldn't be surprised if Stevenson is looking past him and underperforms.

Its difficult to say who hits harder. Stevenson is more accurate, sets up the left hand and throws his punches better where as Kov is pure brute force and just pummels his opponents senseless. Hard to say who punches harder Kov just looks naturally very heavy handed where as Stevenson sets up his power punches better - Kov v Adonis who wins ?

Let's hope we're not here on Sunday talking about how he won the fight but the judges called it otherwise, I really can't take any more decisions like that.

To be honest though, a lot of matchroom fighters have been given the benefit of the doubt on shows over here so you couldnt complain too much unless it was so glaringly bad that you cant ignore it.

I'm not one to get too carried away with regards to taking domestic bias into account when Brit fighters are abroad, but I genuinely believe that Bellew has a massive chance of upsetting Stevenson.

I'm not at all impressed with what Stevenson achieved at Super Middle (never faced a credible top ten opponent), and both Dawson and Cloud were damaged goods who were coming back from humiliating defeats and facing serious confidence issues.

I've also heard about how Stevenson didn't want to fight again this year and wanted to rest, but was allegedly pressured by HBO to defend his belt with a mandatory where they could showcase Kovalev on the same card.

Anybody who watched the Gloves Off Middleweights Ringside recently may recall the discussion on Groves-Froch and how Groves was mentioned as becoming obsessive about a showdown with Froch given how many times he had played the fight over in his head.

I think Bomber will have been doing the same thing over the past few months and that Adonis is not really taking his challenge at all seriously.

As Tony mentioned to Stevenson, the guy has been KO'd by a man who had 15 defeats when they fought. So he's not Superman, and apart from his previous two named opponents, he hasn't shown anything prior to that except for a good KO record against a list of opponents who can be seen as nothing other than fringe contenders at best.

Sure Adonis carries power and Tony has been flattened before (yet remains unstopped), but if he can fight smart early and frustrate Stevenson I think he can drag him into deep water and pave the way for a late stoppage.

With home advantage and on this years form Stevenson deserves to be favourite but I really think an upset could be on the cards, with Bellew representing outstanding value at 8/1 to win by stoppage.

Lets hope so; it's a big ask. I hope he doesn't freeze (very cold out there).

Jokes aside, there's no chance that Bomber will freeze (unless he goes outside in just his pants). He's very confident and he truly believes he can win.
Can he do it? Yes, but I think he has to stink the place out to do so there's no way he's winning if he tries to go toe to toe.

I think Bellew is going to use his height advantage to frustrate Stevenson, and score points on the inside, and I wouldnt be suprised if Tony picks himself up from the canvas early on and goes on to win on points. He may have the judges cards to beat though.......

Looking at this fight, my first reaction is Bellew will get knocked out inside 2 rounds.

However Tony is one tough f*cker and if he gets the jab working, and boxes long to get settled into the fight then things could be very interesting.

I wasn't worried when i saw Adonis spark Dawson, as Tony can match most in a ruck.

I was more worried with his use of angles against Cloud. He is faster than Tony and isn't good for Bomber

ICE: I’ve got to believe that most people realise that a fight with Kovalev will be a gift to boxing fans the world over. That is a must see fight even though neither of them are superstars yet. Boxing insiders know this. Every time I picture them fighting I go back to the first Merqui Sosa vs. ‘Prince’ Charles Williams fight when the referee had to stop the fight on both guys because there was a real danger that both guys could get seriously hurt. Do you remember that?! I don’t think it ever happened before or has since but that is what I picture with Adonis and Kovalev.

I'm shocked anyone is giving Bellew a chance on here, I used to like him until he started running his mouth and producing performances Johnny Nelson would be proud of. Ajisafe and McKenzie have put him on his arse, imagine what Stevenson will do to him?

All this about him outboxing Stevenson, when has Bellew ever shown superior boxing skills against quality opposition? The 'masterclass' versus McKenzie in the second contest? Beating a shop worn McIntosh who was never that good to start with?

There is nothing in Bellew's resume to suggest he has a hope in hell of beating Stevenson, he'll be lucky to last 3 rounds with him.

That first fight was crazy. Double knock-out and hospital for both. Second one was a slight let-down in comparison but still had a ton of action. Williams stretchered out with an oxygen mask on.
