All in all the board do a good job, Harrison's troubles are consistently of his own making

How is it cloak and dagger? I am sure various personal matters were discussed, would you be happy if the Board just made all confidential matters public?
As for the old "rival board" chestnut. Sky, nor any self-respecting broadcaster, would ever work with a rival board. So there would never be enough money in it to give it any future beyond small halls.
If things like a boxers' union have never got off the ground, could you really imagine all the big name British boxers turning their back on the Board out of support for a handful of boxers who have problems with them.
The point with Scott (who I have found to be a nice guy every time I met him) is surely, hasn't he been given a prison sentence in Spain that he has yet to serve. I asked that point earlier, but no one has answered.

A wee message for Ronnie Clark - if you don't know what you're talking about you'd be far better shutting your mouth and concentrating on what you're good at - boxing.

Why would he get that message? He was at the meeting where harrison was refused his license and there was no reason for it being refused and revoked? Whats he said that he doesnt know about? Not all boxers are robots and need to hide what they feel cause the board hold people to ransom as shown before with whole luxemberg issue. Do you guys know Scott Harrison? If he was wanted back in spain hed be back in spain its as simple as that. Im sure there will be some sort of appeal on going or something whereas if thats the case Ronnies statement is spot on- Innocent until proven guilty!

the board is a joke of rich boys who have never boxed who worry about there own reputations rather than the sport itself, the amount of times boxers get punished for stupid things yet allegedly does what he wants and that alright because hes apart of the gang, boxing needs to be put into the boxers hands not numptys on big salaries when the average boxer earns peanuts, when the board of a sport earns more than a fighter its bad news

I think you will find that the board agm Ronnie is talking about is the Scottish Area Agm and any decisions they make have to be ratified by the stewards at Head Office so really his quote is slightly misleading

Because Scotland dont have much say in the bbbofc ;) ha If im honest the meeting was boring as fcuk all they talked about was the figures, and as an outsider they never had a clue! ;) I did pick up
England have 3 Admin Stewards
Wales have 1 Admin Steward
Ireland have 1 Admin Steward
Scotland have 0 Admin Stewards

Could the boxing board be maybe helping themselves?!? Who deals with the figures?
924 bbbofc members this year at say roughly £100 a licence ;) Where does that money go? Everyone on the board work for free dont they?!

In an ideal world yes mate all inspectors just work for expenses at 40 pence a mile plus food etc Area Council Members only get the same expenses to attend shows but get nothing at all for Council Meetings which in the case of the Midlands is usually an all day affair on one Sunday every month In Answer to Ronnies question all the money is gobbled up by the full time staff at Head Office along with office and admin expenses etc

I take it Ronnie the relevant paperwork the board requested never got handed in?
That's the reason for refusing his licence no more no less, the quicker it's sorted the better to allow Scott to fight again, all that's needed is what's requested

There are very few members of the board who are on a salary (literally a handful). The vast majority of board members are volunteers and merely claim expenses.

If Scott Harrison can prove that there are no outstanding court cases against him involving violence, he's physically fit and has no outstanding contractual issues and he doesn't owe licence holders money then the Board wouldn't refuse his licence I don't think.

But is it not right that the Board have to satisfy themselves of this and if Harrison hasn't complied with Board requests then whose fault is it ???

But when its all said and done - what is the point of him getting his licence back ??? Is he going to be a 6 round journeyman to earn a few pounds. If that's the case then good luck to him, but he'll be fighting much taller men at welter/ light middle and they'll enjoy whacking him as he comes in , in slow motion.

Time to move on Scott.

The last paragraph is very harsh mate, Scott gave Liam Walsh a good fight and could give most the same at lightweight

Also as long as he is on no form of community order or licence etc basically he must have no legal conditions on him or anything pending waiting to go to court

The Luxembourg outcome might change things....
How? That was 19 months ago. The only change now is that the GDA sanction a few shows in the UK, mostly filled by unlicensed or retired fighters.

I think what Callowland may be getting at is that when the LuxBox/Malta/WBU/etc eventually end up in court with the BBBOC and the Board have to declare they have no right telling their members who they can work for as per EU directives, it may give other licence holders the assurance that they need to work for other organizations. On that note does anyone know what happened about Chris Jenkinson who boxed on a Malta sanctioned bout at York Hall? I know he's fought a couple of times since.

Can't see that happening. Court cases cost money and I can't believe anyone there would risk bankrupting themselves over this. If they did, it would have gone to court by now

Technically Scott Harrison is unemployed so he will get legal aid ;) that there would help his solicitor fees ;)
