Fighters that go the distance against prospects at short notice can proudly call themselves journeymen, ones that get knocked out every time are tomato cans, there is a world of a difference.

He had a one win.
he won his debut and last time i checked he had lost the next 50.... to be fair to him he's got a spangled leg so he was never gonna be a champ.

Theres the man 30 fights 30 losses 30 by ko all within 2 rounds.
Looking at his record, there isn't even any famous names on there...except a 54 year old Ron Lyle!

I wonder what he thought each time he entered the ring. I remember Robin Deakin in an interview when he was something like 1-24 and he was just starting a comeback saying he's after titles but then 1 round i think in the next 20 fights
To be fair.i saw a few of robins fights and he always had a good go.put up a fight in the ones I see.also dropped a couple of good lads.take into account any close rounds would always and I mean always go the home fighters way.there are tomato cans you don't learn a thing from.but robin would box anyone and gave them rounds and a good workout.even when stepping in with a day or Two's notice.im not saying he's great but he was not as bad as the record suggests

Once a boxer gets a few losses on the trot the ref seems less inclined to give the benefit of the doubt in a close round or they edge the other way - it is as though they decide themselves that another loss doesn't matter to the fighter. There are plenty of bouts that could go either way and there have been some outright wrong decisions, it must be very disheartening.
