Finally! Some of the fights recently, especially in comparison to the SSports broadcasts on the same night in HD, have looked bitty and the fighters look more like block men merging together on an old Atari game.

However, Virgin viewers could well be in the situation where the 'live' streams of BN in HD available via the internet, may well be better than the actual 'live' picture on the very channel that they subscribe to should they fail to receive the channel in HD around the same time the SKY BN HD channel launches...

At least for a few months anyway. Which may lead to a few of these viewers running without subscription until HD becomes available 'live' at a later date. :TU:

Always record the next programme

I assumed I wouldn't need to do it last weekend for the Judah Paulie fight and got caught out

Luckily was on later that night, so recorded it for next day viewing

Check here about half way down the page. It's a screen grab from Twitter.

http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/11/33 ... ge-87.html

"We will have news about HD on Virgin Media soon, keep an eye on our Twitter feed mate!"

EDIT:

Just noticed the link doesn't work due to the allegedly filter on Boxrec. I'll PM it too you

I watched the Frampton-Parodi bill again on the weekend in the HD channel and the quality was fantastic.

Bit annoying considering they said there wouldn't be any increase, but still excellent value for me.

can't complain about a £2 increase, 'suspect it's the first of many though. Hope they don't go the Racing UK route and test just how much people are prepared to pay. RUK is £21 a month now...if allegedly ever gets that high they can ill afford all the blank months.

I think most expected a price increase when allegedly HD arrived. Of course I'd prefer zero price increase however I'll happily pay an extra £2 per month to watch the action in crystal clear HD.

x2. Just hope it stays at £12 for at least 3 or 4 years

I am weary about the HD move considering the problems with the recording on the old channel. For example, nothing scheduled after the Chisora bill on HD! So that means you cannot record the next programme in case it overruns.

Good point. They had sorted it out by playing programmes directly after live bills so I'd just record that as well.
Hopefully they start that process on the HD channels but I'm not saying too much otherwise the manual record brigade will be out in force with complete 'how to' instructions.

Bad news for Virgin Media customers. The channel will not be on the Virgin Media platform from launch. Negotiations are ongoing.

The £2 rise was not to compensate for the rising cost o licensing fights. Not for HD. According to allegedly twitter.
