Was a piss take to be honest. 700 odd staying for that fight. Thing that annoys me about it is not only putting it on last but even when the Purdy fight was over get them walking into the ring them. Instead there was still a few minutes of standing around (presumably whilst sky did interviews) before Boylan and Owen made there way into the ring. Bar had shut as well plus I missed my train :witzend:

Still that fight was a good scrap and Boylan who I was supporting won so I was relatively happy. Shame for him he missed out on a bit of exposure with a TV fight, a lot of people weren't happy about the wait obviously.

I don't know why you'd try and cram so many fights onto one bill to be honest, pretty sure the Christmas show last year was similar it just seems a waste.

I have no issue with the Mitchell or Purdy fights for the reasons you give. No one's comparing it to last week and I wouldn't say Skeete-Lynes or the Chisora fight were mismatches and one of the Evangelou's lost with the other run close. 14 of the fights on this card don't belong on TV and that's the issue.
I can't really see that complaining about a fight being 50/50 is a legitimate complaint, no matter what the level. Better watching that than countless gross mismatches.

Most pub brawls are 50-50, doesn't mean they compare to a proper fight in a ring. I don't see why we should be served up very average fighters on TV when there's only 14 or 15 proper shows on Sky a year.
